Recent PCV/JCV event in Venezuela. This took place in front of the monument dedicated to the USSR’s victory over fascism in Caracas.
Picked up a book by Chinese author Yu Hua, called City of Fiction. It’s set in the time of the cultural revolution. You don’t see many Chinese authors in the book stores here, so I was intrigued.
Sadly I did have to Google his name to see if he wasn’t one of those anti China western bootlicker people but he seems okay. Curious to see what a Chinese fiction is like.

Is this all one protest? One and three look like a liberal anti-drumpf parade, whereas two and four look based and leftist. Five has a bit of both, with a palestine flag in the background.
Were these like different sub-groups within one large protest? Isn’t the contradictions here obvious to the liberal drumpf crowd?
All of these photos were reported in the same news so I assume all of this happened in the same day. What I don’t know if this were the same group or different groups that joined the cause.
Wearing a LGBTQ+ shirt with a text that says ‘all colors are beautiful’, which is of course ACAB. My manager, whose husband is a cop, came to me and said ‘wow, cool shirt! All colors ARE beautiful!’ and I thought that was funny.

If Israel decides to invade areas to create their greater Israel (outside of Palestine), where do you think they will invade first? I think Southern Lebanon.
there are already areas occupied by Israel, still it will be a gargantuan task to occupy Lebanon. Last time they got their asses kicked out of there.
If occupying Palestine is already making Israel pull out most of their resources, they don’t have capability, at least not right now, to pursue an adventure in Lebanon. Israel will right now very likely focus on their genocide, since the victims are mostly unarmed children, women and the elderly and maybe afterward they will focus on the West Bank.
Israel will only have available resources to invade Lebanon after they end their genocidal frenzy in the Palestinian territory.
I thought Syria will be the easiest prey. They already using the Druze factions to expand into Syria. As for Lebanon, it will be harder compared to Syria.
I’m watching this new movie, Warfare, about some soldiers in Iraq. It’s a little hard not to notice that the good guys seem to be using the locals as human shields.
I remember actual military aficionados & and veterans alike roasting the movie for depicting US soldiers anachronistically using modern gear & kit.
An intentional design choice as like all American war movies it’s supposed to be pro-military.
