Normally I would say the 1% is neglectible, but in medicine 1% can be a whole lot. Especially if not everyone takes the drug.
zout@fedia.ioto Political Weirdos @lemmy.world•In a now deleted tweet, weirdo Azealia Banks shares that "fucking 14 year old girls was really only made a social taboo in the 1990s"181·1 day agoI was born in 1975. I don’t care how you want to frame it, over 20 people having sex with 15 years olds were considered pedophiles in the 90’s. We would even “joking” ask our friends if they had their pedo-pass with them if they smooched with someone 2 years younger.

zout@fedia.ioto United Kingdom@feddit.uk•Call to make wet wipe producers pay for polluting England’s waterways311·3 days agoThis is a curious proposal to me. On the one hand, wet wipes shouldn’t be flushed, and they definitely don’t need to be used in the amounts that are used today. On the other hand, in the Netherlands wet wipes are just as over used as in Britain, and our sewers don’t overflow in waterways. Because we didn’t privatize our waste water infrastructure.
Is there also an instance for people who need to touch grass?
69 is over rated IMO. Giving oral is great, recieving oral is great, both at the same time is distracting.

In my country Employers will only (sometimes, not always) call previous companies if you specifically list them as references.
zout@fedia.ioto Books@lemmy.world•What book(s) are you currently reading or listening to? July 223·6 days agoI liked these the best. They are also among the more accessible books in the series.
zout@fedia.ioto Books@lemmy.world•What book(s) are you currently reading or listening to? July 226·6 days agoNot much reading last week. Read Joe Haldeman’s “a separate war”. I already commented on the forever war last week, nothing to add to that. Currently reading “furiously happy” by Jenny Lawson. And still listening to “the eye of the Bedlam bride” in my commute. This will take a while to listen to, since my weekly commute time is about six hours, and the audiobook is 20+ hours. It is a good listen though, I read the previous books in the series, but listening is more fun in my opinion.

zout@fedia.ioto Technology@beehaw.org•How Silicon Valley Monopolized the World (Tom Nicholas)2·7 days agoMaybe in Britain, but in the Netherlands it’s because somehow the regular taxi companies have to adhere to a different set of rules than Uber.

Do you work for the Roman Catholic Church or something like that? I see ads which are more nsfw than this art.
I love having two monitors at work, have been working this way for ~15 years now. At home, not so much, almost all the time one screen is enough.
