    Normally I would say the 1% is neglectible, but in medicine 1% can be a whole lot. Especially if not everyone takes the drug.

      This is still the best lifeline people have ever got from a lethal disease. As long as people keep up on the injections, we still might be able to keep HIV from spreading.

      i’m sorry if i remember this wrong but iirc there is a so called “r-factor” which determines how many new individuals an already infected individual infects.

      if that reproduction factor is <1, then the virus dies out. so it doesn’t have to be 0, just small enough.
