ok, sorry
well you gotta advertise too of course.

that’s a second recommendation for dragonshield :) seems like that’s the way to go then. i think i can get by cheaper by not sleeving every card, with 1300 of them most are not regularly used.
lime!@feddit.nuto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•How do AI data centers manage to *consume* water, but when I cool my house, my A/C *makes* water?English2·16 hours agothat water usually goes through a heat exchanger in a closed loop. there’s a reason most power plants are built by lakes.
also, explain “boiled wind”?

ooooooh, i gotcha. carbon footprint.
people did say that to them at the start, but i think it’s more about the process of putting all the stuff together. you need different chemicals to laminate the two substances together. and since not everyone sleeves their cards and only some cards actually need sleeves, i think the total footprint is a lot lower.
not sure i understand the first question, sleeves are sold by the measurements of the cards they fit. there are 88x63mm sleeves, it’s like the most common size. i just want to know if there are brands made here.
oh i fully agree and understand the perspective. i also agree with the point feynman was making in the quote (otherwise i wouldn’t have brought it up obviously) and i think he may have been misrepresented a bit in that most of his quotable and memorable stuff (as printed in books about him) is of the more… i-am-so-smart kind.
if you have about three hours oh geez to spare, i recommend angela collier’s video on the books about him.
after reading a bunch of the books about him, i started noticing a pattern; he needs a butt to every joke. like, in isolation this quote is good but when you look at how he talked about people in general you realise that he always has to belittle someone to make his point. the artist friend is “nutty” because he has a difference of opinion, and richard can of course appreciate the beauty same as him, you don’t need a degree for that. and he does that constantly. it rubs me the wrong way.
same with his propensity for rule-breaking, he did it even though nobody but him thought he was entertaining. he was asked repeatedly to stop and he didn’t. he pissed people off who were just doing their jobs.
oof, that’s a lot more fart-huffing than i remember it.
lime!@feddit.nuto Europe@feddit.org•Sweden, an Early Climate Leader, Is Retreating From Its Environmental Commitments, Part of an EU TrendEnglish7·1 day agoone of the annoying things about the climate targets that i think should have been done better is that they’re sort of static year over year, which means they get harder and harder to attain. sweden, which is largely fossil-free energy wise, has to work a lot harder per unit to reduce emissions x amount than, say, the uk, or poland. the easy stuff is all done already.
the curve naturally flattens out close to the top, since going from 99 to 99.9 is possibly even harder than going from 90 to 99.
still not a reason to go backwards, but that’s what happens when you merge the posts for minister for climate and trade, and put a christofascist there.
no, you obviously don’t want people to talk to you. that’s fair.
