Do you often celebrate your anniversaries with a big party or as more private affairs?
And what did you get up to this year?
Oh, and how did you make it this long?

and the red pandas!
they’re like fox colored raccoons, they’re super cool.
that is a very cool habitat, nicely maintained forests and pathways.
I was pretty thrown when I saw a dozen of these little orange fellas strolling around.
that sounds really fun, I want to play stratosphere or earthquake mode.
I’m going to try installing it.
you use it professionally? I’m always surprised more people aren’t using it. or at least I’m not hearing about it more.
I started using the app years ago, and after exploring the app over a few days, I was always confused how it wasn’t the number one free choice for many digital artists, but then I’m not really in that sphere as more than a hobbyist.
infinite painter still seems unfairly and almost bafflingly relegated to a rather obscure user base, despite having such a comprehensive toolset.
do you use a stylus and a tablet? I just use my finger, but I’ve considered getting a stylus specifically for IP. maybe if it becomes more than an unpaid hobby.
oh yes, i see! thanks, I almost always use soft pen. I expect the challenges will help me become acquainted with the other tools better, which is definitely a weak point of mine; not taking full advantage of such a useful app.
I really like infinite painter, and I think you’re the first other person I’ve known who uses it.
your painting came out great, those two peaks in the background give a necessary sense of depth to your piece.
where are the challenges in the app?
i liked Investing For Dummies, it gives you fundamental to medium knowledge about pretty much every investing option there is, and you can look more into the investing routes that fit your risk attitude.
but if you’re not very interested in investing, then I would look into index funds specifically, which means you’ll invest some amount of money, usually a minimum of $1,000, into a fund composed of hundreds of stocks, so you’ll own exposure to the majority of the market, a fraction of every industry instead of investing in just a few different companies.
index funds are a fairly simple set it and forget it type of investment with a good return and don’t vary much regardless of how the overall market or different industries are doing.
you usually pay a small commission annually to the company who manages the fund you invest in, and the trade-off is that you put in money, have access to the entire stock market, watch your investment gain interest and you don’t have to do anything else, just let it gain compound interest until you want to take your money out.
it is that kind of country, this is going to rapidly change the country for the better when the barn goes into effect.
The exhaust and noise of engines is pretty rough in cities and towns there, which is common in Asia.
but for a lot of countries I visited, after they transitioned to electric mopeds, it’s so much more pleasant to walk around, shop, and live.
"Rev. Al Sharpton said in a statement that Trump’s unsealing of the MLK assassination files was “not about transparency or justice.”
“It’s a desperate attempt to distract people from the firestorm engulfing Trump over the Epstein files and the public unraveling of his credibility among the Maga base,” he added"
let’s try to make a connection!
Nice deals.
I got everything bagel chips that were normally $4.77(according to the tag) for $0.75 last week.
i bought all three bags that day, but nobody I told seemed particularly impressed by this deal and I am nonplussed.
that seems like a crazy deal to me, but it was like I told everybody I was saving a quarter per bag or something.
congratulations, I appreciate your thrifty find.
Burmese pythons.
"they also were able to excrete excess calcium in cases where too much bone was consumed, tests showed.
Not even fragments of bones showed up in their feces, the team found."
I wonder how the bones are being excreted, then.
are pythons sweating bones?
yo! buillon instead of salt is a hell of an idea, guessing that paid off?
very cool. there’s a rolling gray thunderstorm here right now, so good timing.
my friend also starts and stops painting, and I’m always so happy when I get to see a new one.
hahaha. when I was in New Zealand, everyone asked me what I was doing there, like they were shocked that I would even visit New Zealand, especially in the tiny town I was living in.
and I said that I just wanted to get to know New Zealand, I loved the culture and especially the humor.
and every New Zealander was like “what are you talking about? we’re not very funny.”
I explained about flight of the Conchords and eagle versus shark, and was told that those were fine, but not super funny.
New Zealand culture is so sincere and humorous, inherently.
great point, and many countries would be literally poorer as well.
even undocumented immigrants pay about $100 billion in taxes to the US each year.
might be worth looking up some Panamanian patacones recipes and see if you can find some good tips or tricks.
I’m in Panama right now and only learned about plantain chips, locally called patacones, since I got here.
there are tons of local stands that sell them, and every person makes them completely differently in terms of crispiness, thickness, flavor, seasoning, but fairly individually consistent.
I have the ones I like, but I’ll say the most consistent ones, that is the large batch processed ones sold in supermarkets, are less sweet.
just throwing out some patacone thoughts since I’ve been here, and since I love patacones now.
they’re extremely popular in Panama, so you might find some pretty good recipes.
Ahhh, that’s great, a good getaway beats all. How did you decide on lauterbrunnen?
I haven’t visited the swiss yet, and I’ve only heard good things, and I love the mountains.
I’m very happy to hear you’ve both come this far and I wish you all the best in the future.
