Interesting, in Croatia I’ve seen only a handful of very small businesses do that, not a single chain of stores does that.
While they are smaller, they’re worse for businesses as their fees are higher
The fees are insane to me. I do think it’s fine for there to be some fee, they do provide an infrastructure and keep it up to date, but current fees are just insane for what they’re providing.
How is e.g. streaming from a Jelyfin server better for the environment than e.g. from Netflix? Genuine question? Like, to use Jellyfin you still have to download an entire movie or episode from somewhere, and you’re more likely to download things you don’t end up watching. The only benefit is if you rewatch episodes or movies, but that’s pretty rare and having enough hard-drive space for all of that is probably worse than just streaming it from a centralised location.
The literal rule change they made that caused this explicitly states you have to follow payment processor guidelines:
Content that may violate the rules and standards set forth by Steam’s payment processors and related card networks and banks, or internet network providers.
They also basically cofirmed this was brought up by the payment processors.
While true in part, there will be a lot of firms that will take the hit in price increases themselves, at least partially, to remain competitive, reducing their profitability.
Did they really classify Twitter as an “organised crime group”? Because that does seem a bit farfetched.
I’ve almost never seen irl stores charge more for paying by card, definitely not anything that wasn’t a small family business. The only place I see it is sometimes on webshops
I’m basically living as a hermit but I guess we just have different needs.
How do you need more than 90m² when living alone?? I live in a 60m² apartment and literally only use like 30-40m² and idk what I’d use the rest for.
Yeah I’d turn off location tracking where it not for photo geostamps. It’s so useful and fun to track down photos.
I mean it didn’t really change much? The few things it did, like the notification/action panel being separate you can undo
I mean, realistically, it is. You don’t have signs warning for hedgehogs or cats, because they won’t total your car.
I personally think that it should be rebuilt. I’m not an expert and perhaps I’m wrong, but I feel like it’s simply too good of an energy source and Ukraine will need cheap energy to rebuild.
I mean, basically yes? Do you think most people ever touched the addons button?
For me personally, the things that don’t work on Windows are mostly annoying things, but the things that don’t work on Linux are experience breaking (first that come to mind: Xbox dongle doesn’t work, Logitech Ghub app isn’t supported, and Davnici resolve was broken last time I tried it)
Is this something too Apple for my Android-pilled mind to understand?
Not sure how you can want a layout that takes 3-4 button presses to type some characters but sure I guess.
