I hate everything about this. Because it’s probably spot on.

So, what is to be done about authoritarians?

What are those of us who simply want to live free and be left alone (and leave others alone, if they’d only tend to their own business) to do?

Maybe the answer really is guillotines idk. The paradox of protecting liberalism with illiberal means and all that.

It must be such a radically different mindset to live in. Like, I can’t imagine ever feeling enthusiastic about enforced hierarchies and monarchy.

Social mobility feels the most liberating, and social constraints the most confining. How can anyone feel differently? I genuinely do not understand.

Weren’t we supposed to be in suppprt of free markets? Aren’t those supposed to empower people to make deals with other people on their own terms, create value, compete, and prosper? Enforced hierarchy and oligarchy feels like not at all that.

It must be control-freakery which, again, I cannot relate to at all.

Musky and hairy, like a slightly damp dog that’s been out in the hot sun, but muskier.

I have high hopes and low expectations.

Productivity goes up up up, wages remain stagnant.

The end game is to devalue labor to zero, and amass the created wealth into fewer and fewer hands. And for them, it’s a race against time to be the first to the top of the heap.

At that point, I foresee one of two possible final outcomes: either tech bros rule the world as god-kings, or all their heads are put on pikes.

I’m not very politically astute, and I’m not a legal scholar, by any stretch.

But, after reading a little bit about this Columbia HCA Medicare fraud stuff, I’m puzzled as to how this guy avoided jail, and in fact went on to prosper and become a US Senator.

Our system is a sham.

Big cuts in times of record profitability in order to please Wall Street.

It’s time to unionize.

My pet hypothesis is that long COVID has really fucked with people, behaviorally; at least when measured across large populations. Granted, there were disturbing trends before COVID, but it seems to have accelerated things afterwards.

I could be wrong. But increased systemic inflammation across an entire population can’t be good. Anecdotally, drivers appears to be more unhinged after COVID. But, that is just anecdote.

I think the Internet plus COVID is this generation’s leaded gasoline. I am just a random idiot on the internet though.

Because they won’t fight and they’re complicit.

I’m ok with using novel techniques to work on climate change, but right now in the immediate moment the only technology I’m really interested in testing and perfecting is guillotines.

Hot take: killing the internet is a good thing. Once the internet is dead, we go back to physical media and physical interactions. We become free.

Typical Dem strategy, to play to the center and court the disaffected right. And it’s a losing one. Voters see right through it.

Ok, so there is a pattern to this, and it has nothing to do with IQ per se.

It has everything to do with political alignment. And it’s a multi-variant association (1. booty v. boobs, and 2. race / ethnicity / religion).

I’ll use US-centric political terminology here.

Hear me out:

1. Men who prefer big healthy asses tend to lean left/Democrat/liberal/progressive. Men who prefer big boobs tend to lean right/Republican/conservative/fash.

2. Men who are willing to date outside their own race / ethnicity tend to be more progressive than those who prefer to stay within their own race / ethnicity (although progressives can happily find partners within their own ethnic group, too; whereas conservative almost always look within their own ethnicity first).

So, an appreciation for big booty Latinas signifies a. someone who leans left (booty), and b. a progressive willing to date outside their own race (assuming he’s not also Latino).

A progressive / Democrat / liberal / lefty can also date PAWGs, big booty Black women, etc. and be perfectly happy.

A Republican will only date someone within their ethnicity 95%+ of the time (some exceptions exist, but it’s relatively rare), and they ALWAYS prefer big mommy milkers, caring very little, or naught at all, for booties.

So there you go. This is 100% anecdote, but one day, I guarantee, the research and science will back me up on this, as soon as someone conducts it.

In the meantime, think about all the straight men you know in your life, and think about their partners. You’ll begin to notice the pattern. Some exceptions, sure, but a pattern nonetheless.

As of yet inconclusive: whether or not “horseshoe theory” applies to any of this. I’ll need more samplings from Leftist authoritarians to compare against Left-liberals, Left-libertarians, and Left-anarchists. More data needed.

The problem is, we all know what the most effective solution to ever-growing “conservative” (reactionary) terror is, but nobody wants to say it (i.e., it’s how our forebears handled the Nazis and the Confederates).

Nobody wants to go there, though, because that’s a bell that cannot be unrung. And, let’s face it, it’s horrible. So neolibs, actual conservatives, and left-of-center moderates are quietly clinging to the faint hope that the rubes at large will get gobsmacked by good sense and then vote themselves out of this mess soon. I want that, too, but I’m not so optimistic.
