I don’t know why you got down voted when what you said was 100% correct. People have had this constant fear that our phones are listening, which I totally get because of how creepy some apps behave, but if phones did have an active mic all the time and were processing or sending the voice recordings anywhere, you’d see the battery hit and it would be substantial. Repeated testing has shown they’re not listening. As you’ve pointed out, the various tracking and profile building tech and ad companies are engaging in ends up building extremely detailed and specific profiles such that they can pretty accurately predict our behavior. It’s fucked, and it sucks, but it’s a different issue than a phone listening in on you.

At least around here, some of those movies only had multiple showtimes for about a week. Not everyone can see a movie opening weekend. And some people, like me, tend to skip opening weekends so they can avoid the crowds. If you declare all movies a failure after the first 3 days, then pull all the showtimes that aren’t 10 pm on a weeknight, of course your movie is gonna bomb. The article, while making some good points, seems to skip over this one.

I mean… It would be weird if they redid it in 3D, but kept it black and white. These days, color is pretty much a given for most games.

The Big Mac today is essentially unchanged from its introduction, aside from changes in ingredient quality. It’s the same size and has always used the small patties that they use in their standard hamburger. McDonald’s is absolutely a rip off, but it’s largely because they keep jacking up the prices, making tweaks to ingredient recipes to be more cost effective at the expense of quality, and removing low cost options.
