One thought I had though is that the Crown Vic may have had more deaths than the Pinto, was that because they were actually more prone to explode than the Pinto or does the fact that it was so widely used by cops, taxis and groups using a fleet of cars account for the elevated numbers?
Yes they suffered the same issue as the Pinto, Explody from rear ending.
