  • That’s more coicindence than causation tho…

Like, what’s more important than that is they were both:

    1. Historically unpopular within their own party

    2. Backing policy significantly to the right of the Dem voting base.

    3. So little charisma it was basically a negative

    4. Bought and paid for by the wealthy

    5. Openly antagonistic to anyone who didn’t only say positive things

    6. Refused to even open a dialog with the left, and a willingness to pre-emptively acquiesce to demands from the right.

    Bonus:

Bill and Hillary ran as a “two for one” so she was seen as a continuation of Bill. And Kamala couldn’t stop saying she’d do everything the same way as Biden. They made themselves “establishment candidates” when the only party that’s every worked for was Republicans. To make matters worse, trump was still running as anti-establishment and people were falling for it.

The only good time to be an “establishment candidate” is when the average American already has a good life…

That hasnt been true in a while, the majority of voters these days weren’t an adult the last time shit was ok. It’ll take a generation before the next “establishment candidate” has a shot, because it’ll take that long for people to trust the establishment again, even if we hit the ground running in 2028 and start fixing shit day 1.

  • That’s kind of out dated…

Like, physics has been fucking crazy the past couple years.

It looks more like the right answer is “both” these days.

Like, the OG double slit experiment was 1801, we just did a new using individuals atoms as slits and individual photons, with measurements taking only a millionith of a second.

Old experiments just didn’t have the mechanisms for further testing.

It’s like that time we “proved” that a body takes action before the brain sends instructions, and really we’re just rationalizing things the body does autonomously… Which, was really fucking huge.

Then we realized that we just didn’t have the tech to measure it, and while the brain will rationalize actions, that’s not what’s happening 24/7.

The problem is there’s constantly new discoveries with this shit, but most people just stick with a simplified version they learned in science class.

  • You’re asking a couple different questions at once…

But basically assume that there are multiple (maybe infinite) big bangs, and each time that happens, the resulting universe has its own laws of physics. We wouldn’t see slight changes, things would be drastically different, but since they keep popping up. Eventually we’ll see every permeation happen. Including identical everything to ours, but just one random difference that created the TV version of alternate realities.

You might think entropy prevents that, but “entropy can’t be reversed” is less a fact and more “the simplified version laypeople are told in science class”.

And a different option would be that rather than one straight line of time, any possible choice can branch and create its own timeline that can then branch, etc.

And that might seem like we’re “stuck” but nothing in physics even requires one way direction of time. The only reason we need to perceive it in only that way, is without linear time consciousness couldn’t happen. Without cause and effect, consciousness can’t exist

  • She’s not an idiot, her father was almost certainly a spy and she’s always said he was killed instead of a heart attack.

She knows as soon as she says what trump wants, he never wants her to say anything again. And there’s only one way he can be sure she doesn’t talk.

There’s no “carrot” worth that, you only do it to avoid a worse negative consequence.

Trump’s DOJ is 100% evil and corrupt enough to flat out say to her:

Either say what we want and take the easy way out, or say nothing and we make sure you live a long horrible life.

She’s 63 and has like 20 more years, 83 on release.

After a couple years locked up and it sucking a normal amount, being told you can die “easy” or be in a much worse situation for 20 years…

I can see the motivation to agree.

  • Just because it’s shared that doesn’t give you a right to desecration.

Well, I’d think an important metric would be “how much space is being set aside for a single religions holy sites”.

    For the moon, thats…

    About 14,500,000 square miles.

For reference Asia is the largest continent at 17,300,000 and Africa is the second largest at about 11,000,000.

And that’s not even getting into an absolute shit ton of other religions also worship some aspect of the moon and have the same “claim” to be able to say what happens. Or even to say that now that it’s able to be done, they want their ashes to rest on their own most sacred site?

That’s the point between a local small area and the freakin moon.

    Exclusivity of “ownership”.

  • Yes he called DSA extremists.

He did not, he said it was a phrase used by extremists…

    Here’s a hypothetical:

Let’s say I was born in 1988, and my ancestors were Swedish, something that is very important to my family.

So I make an account named “NorsePride88”…

I would absolutely appreciate someone pulling me aside and saying:

Some extremists use those phrasing to support shit I hope you don’t support.

I would not get defensive and claim I was “attacked”, I would thank someone for informing me that while I thought I was using as a benign phrase, a lot of people were going to assume I was intentionally using Nazi dog whistles.

So obviously, the correct response would be not using that account/phrase anymore, because of connotations I wasn’t aware of when I typed those words.

I’m trying to help, this really just seems like miscommunication is the only issue here.
