Trump’s campaign promise was 10 million deportations or something like that. Did Rogan think there was 10 million criminals just out of control last year?
hes not even targeting the actual “illegals” not the ones working in meat plants, etc where “animal, eco activists” cant access.
theo von is like the temu roegan.
“But, but, you see, once authoritarianism starts creeping in, and it makes some inroads, which it’s definitely making right now man.”
The irony of Duncan Trussel saying this while wearing a Palantir hat feels like a top tier psyop. I’m not even conspiratorial but there is no conceivable world where you could be that dense.
no conceivable world where you could be that dense.
Peter Thiel believing to prevent the Antichrist with Palantir could be more dense.
Thats what you get for being a stupid POS joe.
In March was when we started seeing news of tourists, grandmas, ice cream men, and small business owners getting thrown into ICE Internment camps. In May, we started seeing kids being rounded up.
And only now is he going, “Hey this is weird?” I can’t believe I used to listen to this dude.
They’re back peddling because of what happened in Utah last month. Notice how all these mouthpieces have turned it down a notch or two after MAGA’s war of vengeance failed to materialize.
trying to label “the boogemyman trans shooter” and it turns out kirk was pissed because AIPAC/jewish backer of his stopped giving him money because he wont stop railing on israel/with tucker carlson (whom is putins moutpiece, and putin is heavily aligned with IRAN). (CONSPIRACY) they had kirk killed.
Cheers to you for not listening to him anymore. I hope it serves as a reminder
The thing they were doing under Biden?
When a republican says “criminals” they mean “brown people who aren’t filthy rich”. Which, just to be clear, does not include drug cartels or any other people typically included by the word “criminal”.
Fuck Joe Rogan’s dumb ass and his willingness to take every republican propaganda statement at face value.
I just don’t understand how so many people can say with a plain face “I just didn’t think he would do again exactly what he did the first time he was president.”
I mean, I do believe that Joe Rogan is both ignorant and stupid, so…
Lot’s of YouTubers play stupid, so that they get better engagement with their public, like saying some wrong things like it was a mishap gives you comments, being a bit dumbish makes people think they can outsmart you etc etc. it’s a monetary strategy. IMO.
A monetary strategy that promulgates mass delusions. Whoopsy.
I call it this as “The Voter’s Wager”, essentially they believe less bad things will happen than promised, and more good things, because people are too confident in the “politicians just say things sometimes they don’t mean”.
I was a little shocked that they used Project 2025 so thoroughly, I though they’d just pull a few key things and try them out at first. Instead they do like half of it in 6 months. It’s astonishing for people on both sides, it’s definitely not what we’re used to. Obama had 8 years and tons of political capital and only got a couple signature initiatives done, nothing like Trump’s dozens and dozens.
The wealthy are in favor of Project 2025, so there is no real opposition to it. The wealthy did not want healthcare reform, so it had to be fought for tooth and nail only to end up with a compromise of handing tax money directly to insurance companies.
If you don’t like Project 2025 then vote DNC. If you don’t like money in politics then vote DNC. If you want the rich taxed then vote DNC.
Let me be really really clear: DNC are the “real opposition” you’re searching for.
Maybe part of it is that, as a Queer person, I’ve been keenly aware of the Heritage Foundation (and similar org.s like Focus on the Family) and following their moves since the 2000s.
They’ve been angling for these types of societal changes for decades and, like those who were intent on overturning Roe and were willing to work for it for a near century – slowly peeling off wins until they got it –, I knew they knew this was their moment and they were going to go for all of it, whatever it took to do it.
I thought we’d nearly buried them and all the homophobic attempts and moves I’d watched them make throughout the previous 2 decades with Obergefell v. Hodges (the Overton window had finally moved in a way that was downright surreal compared to the for-granted and implicit apathy (at best) and disdain of the 2000s and early 2010s) which made the 2024 election particularly existential.
If you were to guess, regarding the Heritage Foundation leaders, what do you think is the main driving forces for their relentless pursuit of the different changes? People can be fanatics and enact changes from the bottom-up, but in the last two decades there’s always been a sustained push from the top-down.
For example, on abortion, I feel like HF leaders are looking for control of women (via increasing risk and punishment for unsanctioned sex) ofc, but my impression is that the ends are for racial purity.
I’m sure it’s multifaceted and inter-related, but basically to what degree do they believe in what they profess for the agenda? Particularly, how much of it do you think it’s for capitalistic greed? Like do they expect standard of living to go down? What about for themselves?
Drumpy’s not doing those things, he’s incapable, and besides, he’s got an interior decorating thing going on with his golden office and golden ballroom… He does however, allow his dick riders and owners to do those things.
But that’s such a backwards way of looking at it. Can they really be that naive? I think similarly: politicians say things they don’t mean all the time.
However I assume many of them mean the bad things but don’t mean a lot of good things. Politicians can be narcissistic, corrupt, power hungry individuals: of course they’ll promise the moon but deliver what benefits them personally or do the minimum to get themselves reelected. How can you be foolish enough to think the opposite?
Can they really be that naive?
Yes. Source: I was like that, and my mother is still like that.
Isn’t that with every president that gets re-elected? Man 4 more years and he can finally do the thing he promised. 200 drone stikes later: any minute now we have health care. Okay he was golfing quite a lot, but now that’s out of his system and he’s too old to fuck children, i can soon afford an egg.
Normalizing what Trump is doing is work of the enemy. Don’t be the enemy.
It must be hard to be stupid. Things happening all around you all the time that you don’t understand.
Raised in a strictly authoritarian environment where critical thinking is shunned.
The world must seem so confusing to these people.
He really needs de-platformed like Alex Jones. Same human sewage machine.
I don’t think you can deplatform people who are being injected with cash by the richest people in the world. Best folks can do is expose where their money’s coming from.
These podcasts need more empty chairs.
shame on spotify for platforming him with a more new audience, aside from youtube.
Thought is not something he has done on a regular basis
Joe Rogan and “thought”. Who else thinks those do not go well together?
I’ll never understand the masses of idiots, how they could be such fans of a guy like this. Go ahead and do a bunch of drugs and think you are figuring out the world, but maybe instead of broadcasting a bunch of half baked conspiracy theories, just keep it to yourself.
MMA is a gateway drug, MMA fans loved before he turned to trump/putin.
Ignorance of the law isn’t a defense, ignorance of obvious reality shouldn’t be either. He’s complicit and he knows it.
I always thought he was a dumb media whore, but it turns out that he’s stupid for free.
~This post is not meant to disparage sex workers, who actually take care of their community~
Never bothered to listen to him, but a local stand up comedian has probably watched every podcast episode of his, and discussed it quite a bit on his own podcast: Nobody should listen to Rogan. He’s an entertainer and that’s it. He’ll allow anyone on his podcast regardless of beliefs and he tends to either believe or pretend to believe them when they spew conspiracy theories and other bullshit. His political opinions depend on who’s been on his show and that’s it. Most guests have been right-wing grifters for a long time now, so that’s what he believes.
And that’s from a FAN of Joe Rogan.
To his limited credit, I’m pretty sure he’s called himself dumb in the past.
He does it all the time, but as a means to excuse himself for uncritically platforming cretins after the fact.
This admission could be calculated, he might just be trying to stay within his audience’s palate.

They provide sex for people that want it.
Which is good for mental and emotional health
Not speaking of the sex worker mental health buddy. It’s good for societies. See Europe.
So you are okay with an underclass of people suffering because you think it might be good for society?
I’m pretty suffering comes more from social stigma around sex and policies implemented around it creating gray spaces that people use to harm them.
Example: SESTA FOSTA lead to bans on social media centered around sex workers so their jobs became less safe without networks of people who can distribute warnings about violent johns or track down missing persons.
Not sure about their own mental and emotional health though
The same could be said for working in retail.
Somehow I don’t think it’s quite on the same level
No indeed.
Sex workers are at least allowed to decline customers.
Lets be honest that will change when the stigma is removed.
If it was removed
I mean I do that too
And roughly where are you located?
At my house bro
Whoa! I’m at my house! Are you me???
There’s no way to know for sure.
Don’t most people provide a service in return for a payment
Yes, that’s good for society and the economy.

Do people need to do things out of their own kindness for it to be valuable?
I am great at my job. I don’t do it for free or out of the kindness of my heart.

you bring too dumb to use the correct there/their/they’re is just perfect. It puts that extra zing to how dumb you make yourself look.

They’re not making fun of you for having a different belief, but for having a stupid belief.

I could?!?! Why did no one tell me this before now?!?!?!

What kind of well taken care of prostitutes are you getting? I’ve only talked to one my entire life and she was offering pussy for $20 as I was yelling at her to get out of my car because I was picking someone up as an Uber.

So I’ve got this new business idea…

Sex workers laid the foundation for so much of nightlife. They also did a ton for trans rights.
Brothels were also critical foundational businesses in most towns in the developing western US.
Have you ever talked to the old trans sex workers? Some of them enjoyed the work, but plenty were in a position where they could either do sex work or they could not work at all. I knew one lady who uh I don’t think had been ok ever since. If you’ve got the time there’s a podcast called Making Gay History, it’s the host playing old recordings he made for the book of the same name. You can hear Sylvia Rivera talk about their childhood in their own voice. Our liberation didn’t come from sex workers because sex workers are these awesome people, our liberation began with sex workers because that’s the only job a lot of people would let a trans person who wasn’t stealth or exceptional pre transition do back in the day.

From my experience as a circus and burlesque performer in nightlife, most safety practices were created by sex workers. They also set the styles that then evolved into drag and burlesque. Sex work is also historically a part of the circus. I owe a lot of what I do to them.
You just made me miss my days photographing the BDSM and alt scene. Some of the most genuinely caring people I ever met who were truly concerned for everyone’s happiness and safety.
I was always torn between my love for preserving these incredible moments and my desire but unwillingness to participate and it became exhausting. Looking back on it, I’m sad that I decided to step away.
Long story short, I’m eternally grateful to people like you and appreciate your contributions to mental health, safety, community, and the arts.
Name definitely checks out haha
I feel so validated right now! Most users who find out or guess my username meaning get upset that it has nothing to do with cartography.
Feel free to come back. As a leatherwoman we still love good and respectful photographers.
Message me if you’re ever in south Texas! I love a good reason to get behind a camera, and will often make a deal if given a challenge that’s interesting enough.

In the latter case it’s a correlation not causation situation. When a group of people is disproportionately pushed into either hiding or sex work, then yeah the major pushes for liberation for that group are gonna come from sex workers.
Idk sex work is a job, no good in trying to make the people doing it into working class heroes. Just because I think their job should be safe and legal and I can find them fun to hang with doesn’t make it anything other than that.

I wasn’t the person you were arguing with. Ime most sex workers are doing it either for desperation or as a side gig that meets their capacity. I almost did it once when I was in a bad spot before deciding I wasn’t desperate enough to do sales, and I have an ex who sold nudes before it was cool. In fact I’m pretty sure I tried to make it clear I don’t think of them as community heroes and was more agreeing with you, just explaining one of the person you were arguing with’s points.

Edit: Odd how so many retards are down voting me for asking a simple question.
Might not be, but your comment sounds like sealioning. You insulting those who downvoted you—especially with that term—doesn’t help your credibility in claiming it was just a simple question.

Then be prepared to wear your downvote count as a badge of honor.
Sure they do…
More useful than comments like yours
I would hope so.
