Weird how you name Democrats when Republicans are responsible and the Republican president was her co-conspirator in child rape.

My guess is that it comes down to how effective the minority party is at stalling the actions of the majority party. It feels like when democrats have the majority, they don’t do much and get shut down by the republicans at every turn. Compare that to how the republicans are just steamrolling everything this year and the democrats have been extremely ineffective at doing anything to stop them.

At least they have some principles - but again, Republicans and their villianesque ideological leaders have executed a systematic destruction of American democracy. Blaming Democrats is not a path to reversing thaf.

For sure, republicans deserve nearly all of the blame here, but not criticizing democrats for never learning from their mistakes, rolling over in the face of everything that’s going on and not having a plan to deal with this ahead of time when it should have been extremely obvious to anyone paying attention that this was going to happen is not a good idea either.

I’m referring to their flaccid response to everything. They are not up to the challenge of the moment.

it’s almost like constant baseless shittalking about them cause people not to vote for them, which leads to them not having a majority position that would allow them to affect policy.

Or that they can’t fucking rally people around them because they have completely lost touch with the base they are supposed to represent? Democrats can’t figure anything out and continue to get info from bullshit firms that tell them to ratchet right and they blindly follow when they should be courting the left, and it’s always funny how Republicans can absolutely stall and shut down the government even when they are the minority but democrats continue to play nice when Republicans are in charge, they had the chance to shut the government down but decided to let Republicans win because some fucked idea of it would set a precedence. People are tired of democrats being ineffectual piss babies and want real representation. If they can’t show up to put real work in then I can shit talk them all I want, I don’t owe them a fucking thing.they owe me everything. And they are still the best choice because Republicans are just fucking evil

Did you miss the two impeachments? Investigations (admittedly slow-walked by Merrick Garland and hamstrung by DoJ policy) into major national security offenses? Dissolution of the Trump foundation?

What does “spine” look like, in your model? Because “murder” and “civil war”, which I’ve seen people here suggesting, are profoundly self-defeating options.

Better not do anything in that case, hm, since of course there’s no possible kind of direct action short of murder and civil war.

don’t be coy, go ahead and list five of these direct actions you think Democratic lawmakers or others should take.
