I’m really glad to see they did such a quick U-turn on that footgun. Because holy shit, that was a crazy unforced error. And the second you read into the background, it was clear that a cadre of neoliberal shitbags in their government just thought they could get away with it. It’s good to see they slapped the profiteering assholes down.

Tbh I think all countries could use agencies like this, and not just to protect from foreign influence but all kinds of corruption and bullshit.
