It is a really good game…
People complain about engagement weighted matches, but COD literally puts you in easier lobbies after buying a skin and then slowly winds the advantage down till you buy a new one
That’s predatory as fuck.
As far as “free” multiplayer games go, there’s not a lot of overt monetization and plenty of free shit.
It was the unmarked bots they put into matches to fill slots and give you a free win that made me quit. If I’m going to play a pvp gametype I want to pvp. They’re not in ranked at least as far as I know but I can’t crossplay with my friends in ranked so there’s no point.
I mean, a bot match should be such a steamroll that you don’t even realize it till after. 5, 10 minutes tops.
I do hate that ranked doesn’t have cross play.
I hang out in plat on PC easily and I use a PS5 controller (with back buttons), but according to the popup when you rank, that’s in the top 15%. And I’m straight up old at this point, if I can do it so can the kids all hopped up on mountain dew. Sure, it’s not as accurate as a mouse, but movement is way better than with a keyboard.
It’s a tradeoff either way. So I don’t get why everyone freaks out about mouse/keyboard in competitive and wants to split console from PC.
Yeah I mean once I knew that bot matches were a thing it was obvious and I quit shortly after. I just assumed it was matching me with lower elo players or something. You get so much assistance with controller at least in some games it can be a straight up advantage so yeah idk. I was fine just playing unranked with my console friends but there’s no way to turn off bots then.
That’s an extremely bold claim to make, any evidence whatsoever or just kind of throwing it out there at random?
The COD thing?
You could have easily googled that yourself tho, I mean. I happened to reply quickly, but it would have taken less time to find the I fo yourself then to type out the comment asking for a link…
I appreciate the link. I’ll check that out.
Could be if you irritate your kids long enough, they’ll just lie to you so you’ll leave them alone.
