  • Boring straight lines; easiest (cheapest) way to add infrastructure (not just roads, think water, sewage etc as well)…it’s all over NA, so why not in a popular tourist destination. Perhaps to attract some foreign investment into housing?
It’s just far from finished. Wouldn’t be surprised if it was too expensive for locals already and not interesting enough for foreigners at whatever the price point is. So there you have whatever the municipality approved already, pushing to have an extended road built with few side roads, since it would be crazy inefficient to do few meters at a time, and once you have the main road, you can easily add onto it.

About the curved bit mentioned - likely gonna be more expensive housing where rich folks don’t have to look at the road/neighbours fence but instead their private little pond/lake. The name of the business next road over tells you all you need to know (“Villas Dubai” lmao)

  • Yeah, I wasn’t sure we’d get anything at all (not even flower buds) but was happy to at least see a plant grow. Then it all started getting “crazy” say maybe about 2 months back, where they picked up the pace in growth . Took some time for warmer weather to come to Lower Mainland BC and the inside temperature didn’t much matter…

I’m sure you’ll be fine and will have as much fun watching yours as we do. Though I did have a little scare when a few flower buds fell off as I tried to gently “shake” the plants every so often to help pollination, but upon inspection realized they must have died off even before as the part attaching them to the plant was dried up, so I assume that those specific flowers never did get pollinated and the plants were just getting rid of them.

  • Alternatively, we could keep the allowance, but add a second HOV lane, leaving gas vehicles to whatever’s left on the highway. But that probably be unpopular. 😀

Can’t afford EV, or house to charge it, but I’d still support it. Fuck the idiotic gas guzzlers on the roads.

What I’d really like to see is some enforcement of the HOV lanes. I see random wanker driving in there alone waaayyy too often, and shortly after there’s like 10 of them. (Talking about a particular section in Pitt Meadows, and no they aren’t all trying to take the next exit). Then again, there so many other rules and laws that go in enforced on the road that his is just another thing to throw on top of the pile.

  • I do some similar stuff, multiple redeems when I remember that Amazon gaming is a thing, but whilst I do get captcha challenges, they are some of the easiest I’ve seen lately. So it is possibly something to do with your specific setup to access their site. No VPN here, and Firefox with Noscript and ublock does not pose any issue, though I obviously have to temp whitelist gog and gog static or whatever are their two domains for the site to even work. I think I have whatever captcha service domain they use permanently whitelisted because some important thing I need to access, related to payments, uses it.

I’ll follow this one before that garbage, I’m yet to use sunflower oil that performed worse than canola. Not sure what garbage they are pretending to reference, perhaps some shit Russians stole from Ukraine and shipped off to US?

Edit: slight side note, as the above may be interpreted in different ways. I’ve only ever bought Sunflower oil produced in Ukraine while in Canada, all of it has been high quality. Have seen some from Balkans (IIRC?) but it was cloudy so didn’t even bother trying it. Not saying it’s an inherent country of origin issue there, more like Walmart trying to find some cheap shit to make money off of. I think Italy was the only other country I saw as a source once and that was just ridiculously priced, mostly because it was mixed with olive oil.
