unicornBro@sh.itjust.worksto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Why are most religious people so easy to manipulate? (serious)2·15 days agoA lot of churches are cults. The Jehovah’s Witnesses put their religion before their own kids and shun them. They’ll pass on a blood transfusion for their religion. So yeah, mind control is a real thing.
I’m not Black but I have been around Black folks and i only recall them calling each other that in the 90’s. Maybe I just haven’t been around enough idk.
Rappers who used that word have been promoted in the past and new rap artists seem to follow their lead.

You can jog on the treadmill for 30 minutes and that way you don’t have to be out in the blistering sun.
I would hang out with myself and get a lot done. We’d code an app, make a podcast for antisocial people, and plant trees.
We’d agree to use the same encrypted messenger.
I’ve never been good at socializing and it just makes me exhausted.
How resilient I’ve proven to be. I feel like I’ve been held down all my life but I got a college degree and now I’m going back for another one. I owe a lot of it to new family members.

unicornBro@sh.itjust.worksto Linux@lemmy.ml•I want to move out from Ubuntu and use something else.1·2 months agoIf you’re seeking something simple to use where you may never need to open the terminal, I’d say ZorinOS(Lite).
You can also test out Debian if you don’t mind a bit of tinkering on the terminal. You’ll have to add yourself as a user to the sudoers list first thing but there are plenty of 2-second video tutorials on how.
For both distros, if you are searching for support, you’d search “on Ubuntu” and basically the same would apply.
I think most people on Mastodon are over 30

I tried it on GrapheneOS with everything enabled but it was lacking something that is only on stock Google Android. I haven’t tried it on a MicroG phone yet.
unicornBro@sh.itjust.worksto Privacy@lemmy.ml•I'm very bad at convincing people to care about their privacy1·2 months agoI have friends who care about privacy but they need phones that can do Uber and washing machine apps. So I’m the only one i know with a private FOSS phone.
If i get the chance to retire then it will be of old age.
People don’t recommended Windows

Some religious people do.
I was a jehova witness an I believed science class was all wrong and that my job was to just get through it without believing it.
