In the UK you can get codeine linctus cough syrup without a prescription but most pharmacies are wary of selling it IRL. Still you can get a full bottle of “lean” from an online pharmacy for less than $10 that would cost $100 in the USA. Small win for living in a country with shit salaries.
I partially get around the loss of my tiling WMs on my work PC (macbook) by leaning heavily into tmux. I know there are MacOS tiling managers like spectacles but I prefer using applications that are multiplatform so I have “transferable skills”.

Most definitely a budget title in terms of scope and production values but he’s priced it at around that level too. Being honest, I’m not going to get more than 20-30 puzzles into it but that’s still a good value proposition.

Never had them wheel in a whiteboard but I did have an interview right after graduating where the recruiter lied about my experience level. The conversation part had been painful, with the interviewers quickly realising I was not right for the role. For some reason I was wearing a full suit because I thought you were supposed to for interviews (typically you do not do this in dev/IT lol).
Just when I thought they were going to let me go someone brought in a laptop and connected it to an overhead projector. Then asked me to refactor and fix bugs in some sample C# code; I only knew Java. It was excruciating and I’ll never use a recruiter again. Approaching 8 years in the industry working at 3 different companies and never needed a recruiter for any of those roles.

I remember back when reddit was edgier there was an /r/opiates sub where users would share cheery thoughts like, “I’m sure we all have a part of us fantasising about dying when we hit the plunger on the syringe.”

There’s a good fanfic series that tries to apply science to the HP universe. I made it like 50 pages into the 300+ page book which is longer than I’d usually read a fanfic for.
Depends how much time you spend in the terminal but if you spend a lot of time there then it can just about replace a tiling VM with a maximised terminal screen. Has full functionality to add workspaces, sessions and split windows horizontally/vertically.
