Letting his backup dancer onstage, during this song, during the SuperBowl waiving that Gaza/Yemen flag cemented my opinion. It’s Jew hatred, and I think it sucks shit.

think of the united states government as a series of knots, knots that have been tied together in a ball, in successive levels each covering the next, over the past 249 years. these knots are not being untied, in a measured and serious process, they are being sliced through with a razor, which is unraveling the entire mass all at once.

yes, the united states system of government, in fact all democratic systems of government depend on a social compact between the government and it’s people that all law depends on for it’s function, there is also implicit trust built into the protocols of state which must be honored in order for the system to function. when all organs of state are being attacked by the state itself, it stops functioning. this is especially true in a constitutional democracy. this is what’s happening in the united states at the moment, the body politic is fracturing, the organs of state are shutting down.

there’s only so much we CAN talk about and hold sentient discussion over, Trump is flooding the field, there’s no society on earth which can handle as many changes that are being made at the moment, the amount of things being broken that can in no way be easily fixed for decades are beyond listing

I’m not Linus’ target demographic, an older tech whose been there and done that, not really interested in surfing the bleeding edge every minute of every day. I knew nothing about Linus, maybe I had seen him in my recommended list here and there, I might have actually watched one of his early vids dunno, don’t remember. What I do remember is I was subbed to an American dude who was (is still?) living in Shenzhen who loved going around to all the tech malls picking up parts, and fixing, then remaking old iPhones. I hate Apple, and have never bought a single one of their products, and never will, but this guy was so sincere in his reverse engineering and process it was captivating. One day, outta nowhere he said he was meeting another YouTuber, and that guy was such an offputting purposefully annoying cunt on camera, so diametrically opposed in tone and attitude as the channels host, I stopped watching the channel all together, just put me right off that the dude I had been enthralled by was such a poor judge of character that not only had he invited this Linus kook onto his video, but after experiencing firsthand how fucking annoying he was, decided to publish it.

Haiti? Amongst almost all nations on earth, Haiti has repeatedly proven over and over again that they cannot govern themselves, like, to any degree whatsoever. The corruption is so pervasive, even if an honest politician is elected to any position of authority, corrupt police and military simply look the other way when gangs take aim and assassinate them. This is clear to anyone that’s paid any attention to Haiti at all over the last 75 years. The worst thing anyone can possibly do is give Haiti hundreds of Billions of dollars, omg. I mean at some point after say a decade of stability, that would make sense, but not before Haitians can show they won’t once again devolve into chaos, riot, starvation, disease, and death.
