One thing that getting old has taught me is that young people tend to think that life before them was prehistoric. Technology tends to advance gradually. The only consumer invention that ever shocked me was the introduction of the microwave oven in the early 1970’s. Didn’t see that one coming.

Other than that, MS Edge works exactly like Chrome.

AOC isn’t very popular outside of the northeast, and she doesn’t appear fiery enough to excite those who don’t know her.

How is any of this right wing?
Plenty of trans people are right-wing Trumpers. Some of them are quite popular with plenty of videos on YouTube.

ronl2k@lemmy.worldto Technology@lemmy.world•Mods react as Reddit kicks some of them out again: “This will break the site”English24·13 days agoMods get to control the political narrative of their subreddits by banning those with opposing views. That makes them more powerful than admins. As an example, Reddit has been so flooded with pro-trans mods that it’s almost impossible to make an anti-trans agenda post in most subreddits without being banned.
ronl2k@lemmy.worldto Technology@lemmy.world•Mods react as Reddit kicks some of them out again: “This will break the site”English2·13 days agoThe user numbers were bogus anyway since Reddit didn’t automatically decrement the user number after banning a member. The banned member had to manually unjoin the subreddit. So the membership count was inflated with banned members.

It’s extremely difficult to double your investment with BTC if you start at this point. There are far better stock market investments out there now.
ronl2k@lemmy.worldto Technology@lemmy.world•Mods react as Reddit kicks some of them out again: “This will break the site”English3·13 days agoAllowing opt-in moderation attracts mods with an agenda. That’s a big problem with Reddit.
ronl2k@lemmy.worldto Technology@lemmy.world•Mods react as Reddit kicks some of them out again: “This will break the site”English13·13 days agoAllowing volunteer mods was dangerous enough. Allowing those mods to have unlimited subreddits was a magnet for agenda-driven operatives. The changes don’t really do enough to get rid of mods with an agenda.
BTW, once a Reddit mod permabans you, there’s no way to appeal their ban. The mods can simply ignore your request for a review. Also, after you are banned, Reddit doesn’t automatically decrement the membership count. You must unjoin on your own. So its membership numbers are inflated for each subreddit.
It is a hoax that feral and domesticated cats are destroying the environment in places where they have predators, which is almost everywhere except Australia and some isolated islands. Cats live near humans precisely because they have so many predators in the wild.

The mods are also unaccountable. They can (and do) simply ignore your DMs asking for details or reconsideration of your ban. And even if they do respond, the reasoning will be a short gibberish response that you cannot appeal.

People who hold that view are NEVER the target of extremist hate groups. Hate groups are always merely a talking point to them.
