I’ve never really since I didn’t have any reason to, although I regularly use it as a knowledge base since Lemmy cannot compete on that regard.
I like the idea of the fediverse so I thought I’d come here.
Also surveilance capitalism sucks ass.
Right answer.

Wait what? I’m really confused I thought this post was about a different image when I commented that.
I totally agree this is definetly ai and I can tell very easily.
I’m not sure weather it is AI or not. It’s much easier to tell when the images are ment to look realistic.
I very much agree. Text generation has many valid use cases and I use it on a day to day basis, but image generation as much fewer valid use cases and much more malicious ones.
Weird privacy things like this happen to me as well. I’m just putting it down to the placebo effect, I don’t think it really can see your browser unless microsoft is exploiting some security vulnerability in your os.
Yes the node 804 is exactly what I’m looking for! It’s a bit outdated in terms of looks but I don’t really mind that much for a home server. Aside from that it seams pretty much perfect.
Ok, I understand now, and that’s totally fair. I didn’t really realize that’s what you meant in your post.
I definitely see your thinking. But for me the ability to understand complex ideas such as society and language is way to big of a trade off to be worth becoming any other animal.
Do you self-host email?
I think signal, proton and tuta are totally fine for most peoples threat model unless they feel they need the extra privacy.
If we want everyone to value privacy then we need to onboard them with easy to use and accessible services first and then they can take steps further if they want.
I agree. Passwords and 2fa definetly leans more on the security side rather than privacy. It’s important to keep these two terms destinct.
I totally agree. It’s easy to be awed by less buttons and a bigger screen but when your driving and trying to adjust the air conditioner by opening the menu and pressing the “fan down” button 3 times, it’s so much more annoying not to mention dangerous when compared to a simple tactile knob.
Why don’t you use /e/os or another custom rom? all android apps work perfectly fine on custom rom’s it shouldn’t really be any different from Samsung except there is less spyware.
Also you can just stick with samsung and just turn off as much telemetry as possible, there is a much better ecosystem of foss apps on android + the ability to use third party repositories like f-droid, obtanium and accresent.
Ok i’m willing to die on this hill. I completly agree with you on the cybertruck, it is a truck and trucks suck. But as for the smaller cars the dangrous fudge on wheels part is probably due to people misusing the self-driving feature, if you use your tesla like a normal car and not like a self driving car then it is really good.
On second thoughts the main issue of tesla seams to be that they have horrible quality control, which definitely sucks.
This is really cool. And I would say a good replacement for current cloud setups. Since it’s unreasonable to expect everyone to self-host. Although I think this could only really be a cost saving measure since there are already services like protondrive that offer end 2 end encryption. And I would probably trust the reliability of proton drive over the community hosting my stuff.
Hang on I have a meme for this.
What are we doing criticizing tesla? I’m by no means endorsing Elon musk but I think it’s best not to get cought up in the politics of this all, teslas are still some of the best value electric cars.
Yes I do. Although I don’t use text generation for writing creative pieces I use it for coding and help in the Linux terminal. It’s not like I was going to pay anyone to do that for me.
