Basically you need to register your pets in local parish office. They require microchip and up to sate vaccines (there is a list of mandatory vaccines). If everything is in order they’ll give you a permit valid for one year. You’ll have to renew it once it expires. It doesn’t cost much but it annoys me that I have to pay for this.

When you walk the dog you need to bring the permit with you. It works like a persons ID card, at any point a police officer may require you to present it. Id you don’t have it you’ll be fined. I don’t know how the fine values nor how it escalates from there. I like to obey the law, not just when I agree with it…

Unfortunately no, it was not a misunderstanding. It’s the law, you have to periodically prove your vaccines are in order otherwise you are intelligible to walk it outside…

Hmm when you say reward, are you giving her treats when she poops outside? That tends to help.

Seymour battles can be very challenging but there’s always a gimmick or gear to mitigate their attacks. It’s up to the player to figure it out. The only fight I did have trouble in one of my (too many) runs was in Mount Gagazet, that one can be tough if you don’t have zombie ward or a way to inflict poison.

Unless you’re going for the Dark Aeon’s you can totally skip Blitzball. If you don’t enjoy it you’re not really losing anything. I did like the concept of Blitzball in general, at first I thought it was fun. However, the matches become brain-dead easy really fast and each match lasts 10+ minutes, which is wayyy too long. It’s a huge time sink and the rewards are absurdly bad for the invested time (An ether, seriously? A single ether?)

I have to somewhat agree with you about Jecht. Instead of FFX-2, they should have done a FFX-0 where you follow Jecht’s pilgrimage instead. I’d play that!!!

I can see how it can be confusing, let me shed some context:

1. I’m not against grinding, though that’s not exactly what I was looking for right now;

2. The last final fantasy I truly enjoyed was FF-X, which I bought on launch. That was more than 20 years ago;

3. Final Fantasy games can be REALLY grindy if you want to kill the ultra bosses but not if you just want to follow the plot. You can kill everything in Final Fantasy 8 without gaining a single level (it’s actually easier that way…);

4. My tastes in gaming have changed quite a bit over the years…

   • I loved Dark Souls 1/3 and just couldn’t enjoy Elden Ring any more;

   • I recently-ish tried Final Fantasy 6, which is widely regarded as the best, and didn’t click for me;

   • Random battles in particular became a big turnoff for me

I have never tried Skyrim because it appears to be a first person game and first person games tend to give me serious motion sickness. I’m physically unable to play them.

I tried the Lacrimosa of Dana but never got to complete. Don’t know why, I have this recollection that it’s actually a good game? Maybe I should revisit that!

I have played pretty much all final fantasies since FF5, with the exception of FF11 and FF16. FF12 is the only one worth playing after FFX, in my opinion.

I don’t hear many people dislike it.

I know it’s a totally unpopular opinion, I know FF6 is often rated as the best one of the series. Just didn’t click for me.

I played it recently-ish but didn’t enjoy it. There are a lot of characters and the story is constantly moving between them. I didn’t enjoy that.

I was definitely looking for something less ancient xD Solid suggestion, regardless.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33

Definitely on my wishlist, the only reason I haven’t bought it is because I read the Steam Deck experience is very bad. I can always stream it from my desktop though.

We got a puppy so gaming has been pretty much non-existent… We did try a few games, but none of them were good enough for me:

• Phogs: felt very repetitive

• Unraveled 2: Can’t really say what turns me off but it really doesn’t spark joy for me. The puzzles just feel uninteresting and with no purpose.
