You know that game show where people have to guess whether something is cake?
Satire is the new cake, and it’s more difficult to tell the difference.

If you’re genuinely curious, I can give you a glimpse into their rationality (though I strongly disagree with it).
Say, for just a brief moment, that you consider trans people to be mentally ill. Calling them by their preferred pronouns would be like giving a drink to an alcoholic–you’d be encouraging it, which would be to their detriment. And worse, you’d be liable to whatever diety might be displeased with your actions that caused someone else to continue in their sin.
Of course, that only works if you have a very poor understanding of both gender and theology. The real reason the bigots don’t like trans people is because it challenges their worldview, which is uncomfortable. And instead of facing that head on, they’d rather try to justify their current view.
The Oatmeal wrote a great info comic on this.

I work in the automotive industry (specifically on steering ECUs and domain controllers). Switching to ethernet doesn’t significantly reduce the amount of copper in the vehicle. In addition, whoever wrote this post has no idea what they’re talking about.
The other standard automotive networks (CAN, LIN, Flexray, etc) are daisy-chained. So your steering, brakes, drive train and other core ECUs are all on the same two wires. Ethernet, on the other hand, doesn’t actually support that–every ECU needs to run to an active switch in order to communicate on the network. OOP has it completely backwards. Ethernet is beneficial for offering higher bandwidth than the other technologies, but it doesn’t significantly save on copper (it may even require more).
Most vehicles have more than one network, to isolate the core ECUs for important functions (e.g., steering, braking, throttle, etc) from the less important ones (doors, wipers, media, etc). In addition, any vehicle made in the last 5 years or so would be likely to have a redundant network for the core network, especially if it supports any level of automated driving functions (lane keeping, auto parking, adaptive cruise, etc).
The only way to save 77% on wiring would be to either put everything on one network, or not have redundant networks, or both. Which, in an autonomous vehicle, would violate a plethora of safety standards. I can’t say what the cyber truck has in it, so we’ll assume OOP is full of shit.
FYI, nobody with half a brain in the automotive industry will work for Tesla. I got to talk with a couple of former engineers, they indicated they were forced to compromise their integrity and left, and refused to elaborate on it. For what it’s worth.
He should try being overwhelmingly wealthy. That usually works.

If there’s booze involved, then definitely 13.
If there’s no booze allowed… 13.
Okay, so the players try chopping off a head, say the red one, and the whispers start to dissipate (and no heads grow back). Awesome! they think, and quickly dispatch the other two. But once all three heads are gone, five more grow back: green, blue, red, white, and different red, I guess? And the party is immediately beset by visions, which are somewhat clearer and more vivid than the last ones.
Leopards and faces
The fact that everyone has different characters that they love and/or hate suggests that the devs did a pretty good job.
The writing isn’t stellar, but there’s a wide range of character types, and one person’s favorite is another’s leaat. For me, Lae’zel and Astarion are insufferable (Lae’zel a little less so, but still annoying). But those are favorites of other people, so they’re presumably not objectively bad, it’s just a matter of taste.
My only wish is that there were one or two more, or at least that the others were introduced earlier in the game (hell no, I’m not changing my entire party dynamic in Act 3).

Dear Mr. Customer,
Thank you for reaching out to me. I’ve created a design to your specifications, and included some notes in this message.
To accommodate for the number of bedrooms being unknown, I’ve included 1024 bedrooms in the design. If you don’t need the extra rooms, you can simply leave the doors closed. You won’t even notice they’re there!
This design is flexible in order to balance cost vs features. For example, the house can be built from cheaper materials like OSB or cardboard, or more expensive materials like aluminum or andesite. I’ve also made the design modular, so you can include only the features you need (for example, a roof).
In terms of maintenance fees, we can offer you a low-cost yearly management service, so you need not worry about maintaining the building. Our firm will definitely be around in 6 months still, we’re pretty sure of it.
I was not able to get a hold of your family, but I collected some feedback from my girlfriend and two cats. My girlfriend was indifferent, but the cats were unanimous in wanting green carpet. Please offer my most sincere regrets to your wife in this matter.
I didn’t have the specific fridge connection you requested. I would have built a custom connector, but my boss insisted we cobble together something using 18 different preexisting connectors. It should keep things cold, but the refrigerator door will open inwards.
I’ve included the blueprints below. Please ignore the tear stains.
Fair enough. .world was one of the few instances where I didn’t have to file an application back when I signed up. Seemed easier, might migrate later, idk.
