  • I ran gnome for about a decade. I really didn’t like how a lot of bits and pieces of it worked so I went and found all of the plugins and religiously installed and updated them. Updates what happened, crab would break, I’d just have to deal.

At some point I tried KDE. And it literally did everything that I was doing to gnome through plugins out of the box.

I’m all about configurability but I’m also a pretty big fan of not having to fuck with it because it already does what I want out of the box.

  • Billy West is 72, and Katey Sagal is 70. They’re trying to voice 20yo’s. There is a limited amount of content we’re going to get out of them. I’m also sure the budget wasn’t was it once was for the VA’s or the writers.

I’m happy that we’re getting more content. Even mediocre content has gems in it. I do wish they’d stray away from current issues as it takes them so long to produce episodes at this burn rate that the content is a bit aged by the time we’re watching it.

  • That’s not even close to that I said.

If you say a bunch of things that would get you in trouble on your anonymous account, then over a period of time say enough other things to dox yourself, all your old account content is still there. Over time a little slip here, a little slip there. You put enough pins on the board, someone can find you, hell you might even accidentally talk about something unique. Happens all the time.

It’s a risk for no good reason. Your’re taking the risk so that some other nameless person on a social media instance can go ohhhhhh that company did bad things.

    1. Nothing goes on a plate without being tasted
    2. If it’s too sour, add sugar
    3. if it’s sweet and you haven’t added acid, add a splash of vinegar.
    4. if it’s too hot, add fat
    5. if you burn it, throw it out.
    6. IF you taste it early, it should taste weak. If it’s fantastic when when it starts to simmer, it’ll be too harsh once it’s reduced.
    7. Taste it and it tastes empty or boring? Smell it. Smell all your herbs/spices on hand, which ever one it smells the closest to, add a healthy pinch and salt if it doesn’t taste salty already.
    8. know your oils and use the right ones. Olive oil can handle some heat and is great for savory, grapeseed is almost flavorless. Canola has a distinct flavor that doesn’t go with everything.
    9. season your meat before you cook it.
