I went to check it and… believe it or not, but it works now. With Joy Cons and with the 8bitdo controller as well. So I have no idea what did went wrong this morning. I was doing it multiple times, from world 3 and 4 and nothing. Weird!
Thanks!
save states
If it really doesn’t work here (which really would be strange), then yeah, that’s what I’m gonna use. Using it already.
It would be just nice, to have the “built-in” way of save states of some kind. It’s half-way cheating that way, since they put this feature inside the game and not the system you run on it.
And also, as you mentioned it too, using save states also saves the extra life counts. So soon enough, probably there will be a save where I don’t have any lifes and every death would mean game over.
Minor things. But yeah. Will try the A + START thing with Joy Cons, and if that won’t work either, I just use save states and maybe save at each world.
My smile would be more natural, if I could finish the game (for the first time, from the beginning to the end) the intended way, and I think using A + START is still fine.
I haven’t checked with the Joy Cons, but will do later the day, thanks for the input.
Even if that brings you back to the beginning of the world, it’s still a big help :)
well, that’s true.
Thing is, there’s no real software KVM (or rather KM) solution for Wayland. Barrier (and the others) works only on X11.
It’s a minor thing, but unfortunately major enough for me to be unable to switch to Wayland at all.
Completely dropping X11 sounds a nightmare in my case. I’m not against dropping X11, if Wayland proves to be a better alternative. But not with “holes” like this. :c
it depends what ghost it is. if it’s a pokémon ghost, then yeah, sure, it can be tapering.
unfortunately, radontop doesn’t support relatively old cards. I get this error. (And the github page states that >R600 will work)
Unknown Radeon card. <= R500 won't work, new cards might.
Also, my AMD CPU has a integrated GPU too, radeontop just doesn’t know about it.
The GPU works on my system tho, just radeontop doesn’t detect/support them. Oh well.
I mean, you run your own firewall (that’s what I got from the title) amongst I assume other privacy controlling measures (tho it’s really just an assumption) and also wanna use a public network of a goddamn shopping center…
are you really surprised?
I guess she got used to the sight of drawn animals in gimp suit on my screen by that time
I don’t know if this memory of mine is real, or just a (day)dreaming or my brain just fucks with me, or just too much acid, but I clearly remember lots of years ago I opened GIMP and the splash screen had this fox IN A FUCKING GIMP SUIT!
Can’t go wrong with Debian and some ligthweight desktop environment, like xfce, as someone also mentioned here
I was about to buy a Pixel 9 Pro XL at my carrier and use Graphene with it, but unfortunately the Pro XL version got discontinued or I don’t know so now only the Pixel 10 variants, 9 and 9a are available. (Strange that the Pro XL got pulled only).
Now I can’t decide should I wait for Graphene on Pixel 10 or just go for the 9.
I mean, 9 would be probably more than good enough, but that +4GB of RAM that the Pro XL (and 10) has are keeping me back from buying the 9.
I probably don’t even need 12GB RAM, but my previous phone also had this much and if I buy a new one, an upgrade here and there would be nice.
