kiri@ani.socialto Linux@programming.dev•How to test Wayland from a live USB? (Ubuntu/Kubuntu)2·5 days agoAs I know, Kubuntu 25.04 (not LTS) uses Wayland only, so you can try it there. If you need exactly 24.04 then idk.

Any reason qView doesn’t work for you?
Oh, I just tried it, looks neat but
qview
has a bit different philosophy from imv (for tiling), shortcut bug (can’t remap F key, even after unmapping it from any else action), and what is really bad, there are viewing issues on sway. For sake of justise, I tried many viewers but unfortunatellyimv
“just works” better than everything else for me. So I use mpv, web browser orkitten icat
(viewing images inkitty
terminal) for webp. However, I will use qview on Windows, thanks.
For web use though, they are hard to beat
For sure! Compared to jpg it’s still better for sharing pics online, but honestly Avif files are even smaller than webp at the same quality. I usually prefer WebP (for sharing) though, since it’s more widely supported.
Can I say the hate toward WebP is disappeared?
No, I hate it. imv does not support webp making me open web browser to see pictures. I hope Avif will replace WebP soon.
When I “solved” teering on nvidia by installing i3 and started using only terminal, because any gui program was still freezing.

By the way, (unofficial) manjaro i3/sway were really good, inspite of populistic opinion about manjaro, especially in comparison with fedora i3 or endeavouros i3 (but still just arch/void is better, when you get used to terminal, than arch-based distros).

What if they were both tops? 1v1?

Seriously, though, I find this art sketchy or sensetive.
kiri@ani.socialto Anime@ani.social•Recomend me some slive of life anime like K-On! but without the musical band stuffEnglish5·2 months agoI think “Is the order a rabbt” and “Lucky star” are most similar to “K-ON!” but without music bands. If you ok with camping then “Yuru Camp”.
I’ve never heard about maidcore, so after listening to the last album and googling what maidcore is, I was surprised that instead of wikipedia link the first one was VK community with 3k members, cz, as for me, this music has a great sound. Finally I have a new playlist, I can listen on background.
