  • Labour do need to reclaim more of their traditional base because if they don’t, they will not vote Labour. If that’s not Labour, or not vote, is much the same under FPTP in many places. Labour is the only way to keep Tories/Reform out, until we get rid of FPTP. Labour should be putting country before party and getting rid of FPTP, but they certainly won’t this term. If ever.

I want FPTP gone, but until then, all we can do is vote as best we can, in the area we are in, to try and keep the worse out of power. Corybn isn’t helping this, again. He was a perfect Labour leader for the Right to scare their base to rally behind Bonking Borris. Some Cons even joined Lab to vote Corybn for this reason. I know one who did exactly that and he wasn’t alone.

  • It’s that their power is feeble. It’s half the voltage of ours. Generally a kettle in the UK is 10 Amps. So at 220-240V that’s 2.2-2.4kW. In the US they are apparently 12A, so at 110-120V that is 1.3-1.4kW. Feeble, so takes ages to boil water.

I fear gen Z brits are just watching so much America YouTube & TikTok they think that’s how to do it. I really hope I’m wrong.

  • Clearly people want BlueSky for very different users cases than me. TBH, it’s not been an issue for a while now, maybe because I’ve blocked so much of it when I started I guess.

I always had “Show NSFW content” unchecked, so it should never have that shit come up.

To be clearly, I don’t support them doing this. Unchecking “Show NSFW content” should have always worked. If that doesn’t work reliable, why will this identity verification privacy invasion.
