Brother how do you make a typo on the top 6 letters?
People get their panties in a twist over this one, but they still operate within the law. What should they have done here, not complied? It’s a court order, from their country.
How many people have you converted over to signal? I’ve done a whole 6. And before you say SMS, only if you live in a country where RCS is a thing, since group chats are a thing. I can do a lot, but it’s irrelevant if other people around me don’t.
The pinephone isn’t a realistic option. Great in theory but in practice it doesn’t really work in the real world where I unfortunately need WhatsApp to talk to a bunch of people.
Fairphone (or giving google my money to then install graphene) have the same problem — I either give up banking apps and contactless payments; or I have to give into the data hoard that is play services to gain access to those things.
I’m not saying apple is the hero here. I’m saying in a world where people actually need a smartphone to do a lot of things, it’s a better starting off point if you want to get some privacy (not storing photos in iCloud, etc) while retaining normal functionality.
I can see infer the telemetry my phone is sending (monitoring dns requests in pihole) and it’s miles better than any android (non degoogled) that comes in the house.
What are the cheaper better alternatives? I would really love to have a phone that works with most modern things, is private and not by a big corpo, but as far I can tell, it doesn’t exist.
While everyone should sign it, the campaign is about publishers that kill games that could conceivably remain working.
De-listing is likely a result of expired licensing or similar, and I don’t think it’s feasible (or realistic) to require companies to renew licenses in perpetuity just to keep selling games.
You have the high ground. I surrender.
Only a Sith deals in absolutes
Well yes, but also let us not forget he made us his bitches.
An important reminder that if this can be enacted into law, there is a chance it would not only apply to games but also at some point maybe to all software that does not require a server to operate most basic functions (ie. looking at you adobe)
Sign it, and get your friends and family to sign it because the proposal is pretty common sense: if you buy something, you should own it.
I mean shit, one of those things is very much not like the others.
Isn’t this just the US healthcare system?
I will be that guy and not answer your original question. If you don’t have a way to charge at home, don’t get an electric car.
Besides the convenience factor, it’s far too expensive to use public chargers. It will not be worth it at all.
People in the Nintendo sub?
They’re called minerals Marie.
Bro why are people downvoting this when it is so clearly a joke
I’ll throw in something most people haven’t watched: The Brink
I really don’t get why people follow this community just to shit on proton in every thread.
Being a popularity contest is not a problem. It’s always been like that, it’s “whatever”. Like it, don’t like. Doesn’t matter.
But Israel manipulating votes to “artwash” genocide is a whole different bag of cats, and very wrong.
This. Are people so thirsty for content they spend all their time in all?
