Chiming into a discussion without caring if your point is considered is certainly a choice. Why comment at all, then?

We run one for our product and it’s been teetering on the edge of extinction for a while. Google keeps saying they’re going to kill them and going back on the decision

bluespin@lemmy.worldto Buy European@feddit.uk•Wired: Proton VPN is the best VPN overallEnglish18·21 days agoThis is a strange hill to die on. You acknowledge that there’s a use-case for hosted VPNs, but say discussing which services in the industry are best is pointless. If we want more ethical hosted VPN providers, then discussing which are better than the rest is exactly what we should be doing.
Mullvad, as far as I know, has a good track record
you would love jsx/tsx with react
bluespin@lemmy.worldto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•why do web developers make it hard to see/copy the date of posts and comments?3·1 month agoIdeally you’d have a better place to work with that data than a UI that is displaying relative dates. Internal reporting data you can query for instance
Fair play, then. Hope you’re able to move sometime soon
I agree that those are very real issues. Rural areas do have better access to nature, though. Go for walks, hikes, kayaking trips, etc and enjoy how beautiful the earth is
Curling is great fun but I wouldn’t say it’s cardio-light. You’ll spend a lot of time sweeping which can be intense
How long did shipping take?
derp, thanks
Best of luck with the project. How is this different from projects like logseq?
Also anecodtal: I had the procedure you’re describing and it worked for me. Ignoring your podiatrist is bad advice

bluespin@lemmy.worldto You Should Know@lemmy.world•YSK Employers do NOT verify your total work history unless you're applying for a government position.1·3 months agoI wouldn’t lie about dates. If they end up speaking to that company, it wouldn’t be surprising for them to be mentioned. The second they find you lying about information, they’ll pass on you as a candidate
I prefer “spinner” to keep the word “throbber” far away from our codebase
Well done! Enjoy the rest of the game - it’s a special one
Keep exploring around that area. You’ll know the item you need when you find it - the only hint I’ll give is that you’ll be running for your life. Good luck
I was responding to the bit about not caring about credibility. Engaging in a discussion is pointless unless others consider what you have to say, so credibility is a factor even in those situations. I agree with your opinion about not being too quick to cite sources in the same casual cases
