Isn’t this just a vicious cycle? You own a gun, because other people also have access to guns. The burglar might bring a gun, because the home owner possibly has a gun, etc

Funny to read the comments. I don’t want to judge anyone as Im not american and I grew up without even touching a real gun.
Its just amazing how big role guns play in US culture. I can’t imagine owning one, but most americans can’t live without them. Its very bizarre.

Its full of mumble rap, auto-tune and weird electronic shit, which was popular at time. (apologies if someone likes it). I just couldt listen to it for more than 10 min.

It just happens that intended use also maximises profit for them.
Fuck Nintendo sideways.

Sure when talking to a suicidal person my first thought would be to laugh at their appearance. Or any person in general.
Maybe she feels better to make fun of the situation but most people are not trained psychiatrist to decide “sure she looks okay to me, its time to laugh at her hair”
My most played games like Terraria are well under 1K. Even this was before I become a parent and started working full-time.
These days if I put more than 50 hours into a game its considered a lot. I just finished the Oblivion Remastered and literally this was the only game I played for many weeks, with a playtime of ~45 hours.
I can’t imagine playing something for 10K hours.

Macaroni_ninja@lemmy.worldto LinkedinLunatics@sh.itjust.works•Youth loneliness is cured by Adults going into the office54·25 days agoTime to go back to the office and have still all meeting online with extra background noise. Looking for a quiet corner to be able to hear others properly is great for my mental health.
Also the office life improves my soft skills, like:
- walking with my laptop open im my hand with a headset on to find an empty meeting room
- sharing desks with annoying co-workers from other departments
- enjoying other peoples conversations about their lunch plans from the other side of the open plan office
- fighting for the thermostat setting and opening/closing the windows
- embracing the daily multi-hour commute in rush hours
It really builds character.

I could stop drinking coffee any day. I just choose not to.
Reminds me of the monitor manufacturers naming memes.

Sorry bad phrasing, by most I meant a lot of americans. Thanks for correcting me :)
I am somewhat familiar with the type of gun owners from US media and movies.
For me the most mind-blowing thing is how easy is to get a gun at some places. I just imagine some shady people I know in my country, even some of my family members and can’t imagine them having access to guns :D
