Because unions stopped shooting back and bombing. Because when cops and Pinkertons shoot strikers the state turns a blind eye.

This is false. You cannot be fired without reason, you can be fired for any legal reason which will vary from state to state, which may be more strict (for employers) than federal law.
Yep. While negotiating our last CBA I brought this up as an option. The union told me we’re not even allowed to voluntarily wave our lunch break.
JamesTBagg@lemmy.worldto California@lemmy.world•California is currently in the middle of a brutal war. If you don't fight this war, you will be a casualty.1·3 days agoIt would not. It would remove people buying up housing just for the purpose of renting them out forever; or doing like Blackstone, Blackrock, and other copycats of buying up property to leave them vacant to create scarcity and drive up prices.
If anything it would flood the market with housing, tanking the prices and bringing a lot of housing into the realm of affordability for a lot of people. But for your second paragraph, of course. I’ve also said that owning multiple houses should come with exponential tax increases for every additional property.
Housing should be for homes not investments.

That seems like a reasonable take to me. The leagues and organizations would probably know best how to handle these few outliers better than some old suits in a capital building somewhere far removed.

Yes, I forget what the phenomenon is called but you wete actively driving and engaged. Your brain just didn’t bother to take any notes because nothing note worthy happened during the commute you take nearly everyday, in the same car you’ve been driving for years.

JamesTBagg@lemmy.worldto United Kingdom@feddit.uk•Emma Watson banned from driving for speedingEnglish313·16 days agoI was once pulled over for doing 50 in a 30 and I was just coasting down a long hill. I’ve also been pulled over for doing 35 in a 25mph zone (a classic Texas small town speed trap where the posted speed went from 65 to 55 to 25 in a very short distance with a cop posted at the 25 sign. You had to be on the brakes to make it.) Some cars are quite quick, foot on the gas pedal a moment too long and you’ve blown through 8mph. Some people spend more time with their eyes outside the car than on the dash. Hell a lot of you drive around with highbeams on and there’s an indicator light for that too.
But also, “Watson already had nine points on her licence before the speeding incident occurred, the court heard.”
Not exactly. We all saw how the recent votes went.

We all know what the bombs did to Japan. It’s well known history. Not every detail of a world needs to be explored and explained again when we already know it. I don’t think most World War II war movies detail the end of the war. Most movies don’t detail singular deaths with accuracy.
No it does not, often making a mess on her and seeing her swallow it (or him if that’s your thing) is part of the fun. I’ll shoot messy blanks on and in her all day.
