Dude this is what I’m SAYING all the time. The only possible valid collection of the Christian Bible is the parts quoting Jesus. Everything after is fan fiction and blatant manipulation.

Especially considering lack of dedicated protection like helmets and other coverings. Access, usability, price (assuming rental), and dedicated protected lanes for travel are much more important, but harder to manage.

LobsterJim@slrpnk.netto Solarpunk@slrpnk.net•Alterity without difference: the non-identity of the Augustinian LeftEnglish6·2 months agoYeah this doesn’t seem relevant to solarpunk realistically. I appreciate the article, as hard to read as it is. It’s certainly aimed at those already deeply versed in complex political “philosophy.”
One should reject a visible identity and hide their presence, identity, and possible alignments from government. Though what the author doesn’t seem to note is that reading the article, in a society under surveillance, even reading this article should be enough to label you as someone who might align with its views.
On the other hand, more division of the left is certainly what the world needs… But seriously, continuing to diversify left-leaning identities while conservatives continue to rally is the last thing we need. Moreover, if more of the left “hides” their identity, it will continue to make the right appear stronger. And in a world where so much of people’s support depends on appearances and peer pressure, I don’t think we can afford to give up that metaphorical ground.

There’s tired, and then there’s sleepy. For me, if I’m not sleepy, there’s about a 5% chance I will be able to fall asleep upon going to bed. I remember plenty of nights in high school going to bed “early” around 10pm, and sure enough I’m still awake at 2am. So first off there’s ability to sleep when needed.
Second, the modern perspective contains a lot of blue light in daily lives that prevents melatonin secretion. Few kids have the self control and presence of mind to properly regulate their screen time at night, even if just from TV, not to mention phones.
Realistically just with the second point, the cards are stacked against them.

For those actually wanting to do it: you start with the morning, not with the bed time. Regardless of when you go to sleep, gotta force yourself up a the time you want to wake. By the time 10p rolls around, now you’re ready for sleep. But you’re gonna start off with a very sleepy day.
