So yes I guess that is fraud. But these tools claim not to store the data in the verification process. If somebody could prove a made up ID was used then I suspect they’re in bigger shit for a GDPR leak.

We tried it and it works—thanks, KojimaEnglish16·14 days agoI know this is a bit different. I’m in the UK and there’s a few sites I use which can’t implement the age verification due to being a small team so they’ve straight up banned all UK traffic.
VPN to another EU location seems to work. I’m actually surprised it was that easy. It also works on a bunch of sites I wish not to have an account. Not all, but most.

I’m nowhere near as active on Lemmy as I was on Reddit but I’m happy with that. I feel I’ve met a healthy middle ground.

Running is what triggered it originally years ago. Ligament and cartilage problems I think it was. Could barely walk on it for 2 or 3 months after. I have to be very selective about the sport I do now. I helped a friend move house a few weeks ago and somehow that has messed it up again. But now I know what it is so I know when to stop and deal it it better. I miss being young!
