Time to update the video on hard drives no one wants.
ETA: Not a dis. These are actually really interesting.

That advice definitely goes two ways.
Ah, so we can think the Bible is bad, we just can’t say anything about it because that would be edgy. Gotcha.
Gonna need something a little more solid than your feelsies.
It’s a general rule, there are exceptions. I’d think it would be obvious why a VPN is needed for some even if you don’t need it.
Considering the political and social leanings of the typical Lemmy user, I think you’re going to be repeatedly disappointed looking for people who think the Bible is a good thing. In any modern and halfway decent society, yes, Bible is bad. Recognizing that something is shit isn’t an ability restricted to children.
What, you came to Lemmy expecting church services?
Think that would fall pretty solidly under sexism - women are just property according to The Good Book.
I mean, if I want to spend my money on bullshit mumbo jumbo, that’s my prerogative. It’s not a payment processor’s responsibility to police what dumb shit I choose to believe in.
I’m totally with you on that. Most of the daily headlines are just distractions from the child-raping dictator that should be front and center. And by all means I hate the bastard as much as the next sane person. If he were on fire, the only liquid I’d pour on him would be an accelerant. I also think it’s possible that in the midst of all this bullshit, occasionally stuff will happen that’s still just part of the everyday red-tape of working for the government. The best I can tell from this article is that the committee made it a point to state they don’t think AOC acted maliciously here - just some staffer’s fuck-up - and AOC doesn’t appear to even be disputing it.
So, in this particular instance, just kinda seems like “Trump rapes children” was OP’s attempt at a redirect when someone asked if they even read the article that they’re sharing - a question which they never did answer; given the reading habits of most people I’ve interacted with on Lemmy, it’s certainly not an unfair question to ask.
“Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.”
What exactly does that have to do with the subject at hand?
Fuck me for pointing out the obvious total non-sequitur. Hive mind in action. We get a fresh influx of Redditors or something?
Oh, wow. I’m so shocked I could power a dim bulb for about two seconds.
This is why I just refer to them as a death cult.
Wasn’t trying to argue any points. Just commenting on the shitiness of the situation.
If this is a US restaurant, those prices still don’t include tax.
I run uBlock Origin for the browsers, and Pi-Hole for the network. Plus a wireguard VPN server that my phone connects to when I’m not on the home wifi for ad-blocking on the go.
These multiple rounds of interviews to get a job are fucking ridiculous. They chose the pope in two fucking days, you do not need a week’s worth of interviews to know if I’m worth giving a paycheck.
The most recent article in the post is about 4 years old. I definitely recall learning this a while ago.
A lot of hotels will require a card to put on file at check-in. The paper you get after your stay is typically an invoice, not a bill to be paid. They tell you how much they charged you, it’s up to you to dispute if you disagree with something.
Vilifying out-groups?! In case you haven’t noticed, “vilifying out-groups” is kinda their whole shtick, as evidenced by how shitty things have been getting lately for actual persecuted minorities anytime Christian nut-jobs get control of governments. Miss me with that shit.
