My storage doesn’t randomly disconnect, but frequently (and randomly) when I open saved files, three to six other files open alongside it for whatever reason and that can get a bit overwhelming and for sure bogs everything down.
Very helpful for making diverse connections between the files (how my OS knows which files are related is beyond my comprehension), but way too much for daily use.
Ungh, unintended consequences are the worst.
I still have a mortgage, but I don’t have car payments and my bills have been steady for years.
I have never been stable by any historically recent metric, yet I can easily survive on $750/mth usd living in the US. Sure, a depressed area, but I can make it work.
I’ve never been stable so I learned to live on very little, and make up for it where I can. I won’t ever have money for travel, but historically nobody did. We are spoiled as fuck to think international vacations are a baseline necessity to call life good.
It’s not easy in today’s world but it is totally doable, if you don’t give a fuck about keeping up with people around you, and focus on what makes your life good.

As a fellow autist, but also a cis woman person, I think there’s a genuine and clear difference between the two, but… I viscerally understand infodumps when the other person already knows…

Meanwhile I got a memorial tattoo for my mom that says Mimento vivere (along with other Latin, blended with both Roman and Greek goddess -specifically Minerva and Athena- symbolism, because I like the blurred lines, they felt right for her), because “remember you will die” is a lot more depressing to me than “remember to live life”, and while both work with memorials, the latter is inherently more optimistic, which is how I want to remember her even tho it’s not at all who she was.

The best part is when your energy starts high and pleasant, and then cycles through all of the rest of those before landing on emotionally dysfunctional toddler because it’s gotten too much.
The experience is completely different, as well.
Professional drivers know where they are going, best routes to get there depending on time of day, and are willing to talk to you about the area and offer tips. Plus they are held to much higher driving standards than Uber/lyft drivers, who are literally just some random person.

There’s an episode of red dwarf that centers on that. They accidentally save him from being shot and the entire country falls apart because all his business comes out.
The good news is with all the small plastic bits floating around the environment, it’s only a matter of time until something evolves to decompose it. Tons and tons of surface area in a wide variety of environments and exposed to a wide variety of microorganisms. I mean heck even our anaerobic gut microbes are getting a chance! And plastic is basically just energy in solid form, so it’ll happen sooner or later.
The bad news is if that happens while we still use plastics, we are going to have a bad time with it.
We probably won’t even know it’s happening until it’s spread far and wide.
Personally, as a child-free person, if someone I was interested in wanted bio kids, I’d immediately stop being interested because that’s not something you can compromise on. It’s a fundamental incompatibility, imho.

Mm frankly I’d risk the curse for mummy’s mix. It’s gotta be fucking great if what’s around now is any comparison. Like I fucking love snacks from all the regions I’ve had a chance to try (mostly, tho not entirely, Asian countries) I’d love to try some from anywhere in the Middle East or Africa, that seems pretty neat.
Pro life tip: if you don’t think you need to keep info long term, but you need it for a short time, your browser address bar works super well to temporarily keep info you have no reason to save beyond like 20 min.

But that’s really specific, and not at all the way any of my hyperfixations have ever worked… ever. Unless this means finding terribly unsuitable things to learn about and just forcing them on people (which we learn to not do, often early in life which ruins a lot of our personalities….) . But we used to call those people history/sports buffs.
