The real scary part is how much they’re trying to attack him, because a democratic socialist mayor in New York can show how shitty Republican solutions have been on solving core problems like wealth inequality. Beyond what Bernie or AOC can do as an individual member of Congress. A mayor is an executive, and new York is big. If he’s not trying to line his pockets, he can do real damage to conservatives and establishment Democrats just by showing everyone there’s a better way.

There’s definitely two different dialects now, from the Oklahoma Cherokee and North Carolina Cherokee. That’s simply from the difference between the two. For instance, in the Cherokee Nation, we say “Osiyo” as a greeting, but the Eastern Band of Cherokee say “Siyo”. It’s still written the same way, but it’s an interesting way to see language change in such a recent time (the trail of tears was 1831). Kind of like Spanish in Mexico vs Chile or Spain.
The language itself is very old (an Iroquoian language base), but the syllabary was created in 1821.
Yeah, the problem is we’ve been kept powerless over big issues. When we found out about oil companies poisoning the earth, we SHOULD have had the power to put the whole company on trial.
