This is stupid even from a ghoul’s perspective. If someone arrives one day earlier it means they don’t follow instructions which is bad in any form of co-working situation. I’d assume if HR tells me to start on Tuesday it’s because they need to move stuff around on Monday to accommodate or something. Even if I wanted to be a zealot for porky’s profits I would’ve come on Tuesday

had a job with that kind of tone before… salary job, 8am to 5pm M-F with on-call rotation.
Coming in at 7:45am would get you reamed because that meant you couldn’t possibly be ready to take a phone call at 8am if one happened to come in.
when arguing about the hours they always just said you need to show more initiative and not do the bare minimum.
