This might make seem like a douche but so be it. I hate “ur” I hate “hi” basically anything that doesn’t seem like it’s written by a human being I hate it. I lose interest on Hinge when I receive a “Hiiiii”
It’s petty yes but I don’t believe I’m on a high horse.
I agree with you, but maybe for different reasons. Like just a “Hi,” takes no effort, nor does it express a sincere interest in me as a human being. I’m willing to let shitty grammar and text-speak go if I can figure out what the other person is saying.
“Hi” means maybe you looked at my pics and thought I was fuckable, or maybe you actually did read my profile but you’re not great at conversation. I’ve responded to plenty of “Hi” messages with an attempt to look up a person’s profile to find jumping off points to start a conversation with depth that will help me get to know a person. 99/100 times my response to, “Hi,” is met with more terse, one word answers; and that’s a no for me dawg.
(I could wax poetic about how social expectations have changed as technology progressed. It’s not always just about intelligence, the minimal “hi” demonstrates a collective shift in general expectations for communication, and you just happen to be 3-4 standard deviations away from the collective norm.) You can always respond in your own way, to demonstrate how you communicate, and if it’s more terse, one word, lacking depth answers, you can always move on. You lose nothing by giving people a chance to show you who they are.
You’re not a douche, or on a high horse. Sapiosexuals are attracted to in-depth conversation, learning and intelligence. You know what you like, you know what your deal breakers are. Fuck anyone else that gives you shit for liking what you like.
I think the downvotera don’t know what that means. 😆
Yeah ur kind of a douche for sure. Grammar perfection is not the end goal of communication. As long as I can make you think of a tiny pink elephant sporting a whale sized erection, the means to achieve my end are immaterial
