AI music creates unease as it tops the charts – DW – 11/29/2025

As AI-generated music saturates the market, people are realizing they can't distinguish it from music made by actual humans. Many listeners, and musicians, are unsettled by this.

In other news, turns out pop music is very formulaic and easy for a machine to generate!

The distance between, “all of this was made on a computer with minimal effort” and, “this music was entirely generated by AI” is very short indeed.
