Social democrats of the Second International were also social chauvinists. They negated internationalism and supported their own countries imperialist wars.
Mamdani here is following that same chauvinistic tendency and is blind to his own country’s imperialism.
Yet another socdem who chooses to associate himself with the Democrats turns out to be a pro-imperialist chauvinist. Not at all surprising.
