It was one of the first foreign movies I ever got into after being a huge Anime fan for a few years. Think i started watching them around 2004. I think it was Oldboy, then this. I never turned back.
I remember writing an essay on this movie for English part of high school exit exams 20 years ago. Got 96/100 points which is about how I would rate this movie as well.

Just got to see a Halloween screening of this! Absolutely batshit movie with a terrific wardrobe.
Manga is way better, read all of it in the past, extremely crude but shows how unhinged and savage lowlifes are, no sugar coating.
