Here is one of the three biggest German weekly publications calling someone who by European standards is mild socdem with a policy agenda that would barely qualify as center-left in Europe a scary socialist and radical islamist… Then proceeding to fearmonger about a possible alliance of left wing and Muslim forces in German politics, all with a subtle but clear anti-immigration subtext with the implied message “we let in all these Muslims now they will take over our politics with islamism and communism”.
