I’ve heard a lot of things, but nothing that I have verified or really needs repeating. But I think the fact that the UniversalMonk who has been banned from most of the larger servers is welcome there. It would definitely put a lot of people off.

If you don’t know who that is, color yourself lucky. Roughly a year and a half ago on-world. They were creating something like a community a day at one point. It was tens or hundreds of communities they were soul moderator of. With some weird posting. Not sure whether it was mental illness and too much time or large language models. Combative and dogmatic behavior in the section of many posts outside their own communities. Which if I remember correctly, got them banned permanently from many of them, and ultimately from the instance itself. To which they created new Alts for a while. So much so it was and still is a bit of a running joke to call any new random behaving oddly universalmonk for many people.
Was never 100’s of communities. In fact, I think they are still up.
.world people were actually mad because I advocated voting third party. I voted Socialist party and you all got mad because you think it caused Trump to win.
Which is hilarious, because even if every single third party voter would have voted Harris, Trump still would have won. That’s how big his margin was. lol
And you are still salty. And I still stand behind my vote and will vote third party in the next election too.

No. People hate me because I advocated voting 3rd party. And I voted Socialist party. That really really made .world mad since it was election time. But antiyanks is in a whole other world. I have no idea what his deal is.

Yep. I know that may make you mad, but I’ll keep advocating 3rd party.
I was pushing third-party voting before it was “cool.” Now a lot more of Lemmy’s fine with it, mostly because people are fed up with both major parties. But I was saying it before the election.
Back then people here lost their shit. They claimed I was a pro-Trump Russian troll sitting in a warehouse, typing on Lemmy (!) to dodge the front lines of the war. One guy, who later turned into a stalker, even said I was getting paid in “Russian bitcoinz.” Many said that I was on Trumps campaign. lmao
They swore I was only pushing third-party votes to swing the election. That makes no sense. First, Lemmy isn’t big enough to sway any national race. Second, even if every single person who supported a third party had voted for Harris, she still would have lost. The margin of Trump voters and non-voters was too wide.
Do I think Trump is better than Harris? No. That’s why I didn’t vote for him.
I voted Socialist Workers Party. I considered the Green Party at first, but the SWP fit my beliefs better. And before anyone calls me a “Tankie,” I don’t even know what a tankie is. I backed SWP because their platform was pro–workers’ rights, plain and simple.

All my posts on .world are still there. My post history here is still here. I also have a community where I post news links from any news source of any political leanings. But by far, most of my posting are and always have been pro-union and pro-workers rights articles.
I’ve also had articles published in the Socialist Workers Party newspaper and other pro-union publications, but somehow Lemmy still says I’m pro-Trump. All because I didn’t bow down to the Biden/Harris Lemmy bullies. LMAO

Nah. UniversalMonk tends to be very fake friendly and passive agressive, Yankee Boy prefers being outright hostile and aggressive towards whoever they deem a Zionist, which is everybody. Monk is irritating to deal with, but they don’t make thousands of accounts in a one-man war on a tiny social media platform because unlike lil ol’ Yanks, Monk has most of their marbles intact.

At first I thought it was trolling, but it’s pretty clear it’s someone who is very, very unwell in the head. Everything they do is so far beyond what a sane, rational individual would do.
