The Oct 7th attack specifically targeted the Nova Music Festival filled with unarmed civilians. All of the adult dead could be called former IDF because service is mandatory in Israel. Like Bernie I realize that the consequences of that event have been disproportionate to the tune of a thousand times in magnitude, but that doesn’t mean either of us have to side with or condone the actions of Hamas, nor would that bring support for our cause of ending this war and recognizing Palestine.
The “civilians” partying next to a concentration camp? Again, the majority of them were killed by tank fire and hellfire missiles. Hamas does not have those weapons.
Hamas wanted living hostages. The IDF has confirmed they enacted the Hannibal Directive to kill the potential hostages. Most of the people killed were killed by the IDF’s tank fire and hellfire missiles.
An occupying country cannot claim self defense. The terrorist colonizing project of Israel is 100% to blame. If it weren’t for Hamas Palestinians would have no one defending them.
You can’t blame Hamas for the genocide, and nobody is, but you also can’t sit there and condone full scale military attacks on music festivals full of civillians.
