I don’t know really ever post because I seemed to never post the right thing in the right place so I tend to be a lurker, but I rewatched this clip tonight and it spoke to me in light of current US political events. Do with it what you will. Hopefully somebody will appreciate the context…
I love this movie so much, it’s aged a bit here and there but many of the jokes still land. There are iconic scenes like him playing with the inflatable earth that stick in your head for years. And the speech…it makes me cry everytime. If only our goodness shown through brighter, what a wonderful place this could be. I seem to catch a glimpse of it every time I watch.
