I have a friend who works for ICE. He is not a law enforcement officer but works more in an administrative/support position.

He does work closely with law enforcement officers and his daily work is in direct support of the President’s current prerogatives on immigration.

He says that morale at his field office is low due to the pressure being placed upon them to make as many arrests as possible (regardless of quality). It’s become a total production environment, even for him. They also took away everyone’s ability to work from home too. He grumbles at how the administration is treating the federal workforce more generally and doesn’t agree with the current immigration enforcement regime but says he can’t quit his job, he has kids at home and a family to raise.

Plus this is the best job he’s gotten since getting out of the military, and he’s just hoping to ride the wave until “things get more normal in 4 years”.

I can’t fault him for not quitting but wondering what you guys think here about such a case.
