    You’re gonna have to get back to Hollow Knight at some point. Maybe read a few guides for the specific place you’re stuck in currently. It’s kind of part of the experience to get lost, but I know from personal experience that it gets a little frustrating if you have no clue where to go

      Yeah, it was otherwise good so far. Maybe it’s just me, but getting lost drives me nuts. Exploring is one thing, but aimlessly wandering and not feeling like it’s making any progression really gets on my nerves.

            In theory, you don’t need it if you have just a little bit of map awareness and sense of direction. But I just got lost with or without the compass, so I think I needed it :D

        You’re not alone. If it’s really too much for you, I’d recommend modding to get more access to the map. There’s a mod that’ll give you access to the map for free, instead of making you savrifice a charm slot to it, and there’s one that’ll just reveal the entire map up-front. I know folks who have been able to enjoy the game that way.
