Isn’t that a popular conspiracy theory in multiple countries already, people in power snatching children for their blood? I know my neighbor believes that our prime minister drinks children’s blood.

So basically I’m the only person who finds the fact that cross-cultural misunderstandings are leading to some Americans thinking the senior directors of the NHS are eating children is UTTERLY HILARIOUS?

      Good to know.

Lmao, people here used to say that Lucía Hiriart was stealing stem cells from kids since it seemed like she would never die. Fucking witch, I wouldn’t be surprised if she actually tried.

Claiming that it’s “the Jews” is such ancient antisemiticism that it has its own name: the blood libel. It started as “they need blood for sacrifices (during passover especially) and sweet christian children have the best blood.” But it’s spread for so long and mutated over the years that claims of outright Jewish vampirism are quite common in bigot circles.

I wouldn’t be surprised that it’s spread into the wider conspiracy theory world. A lot of antisemitic tropes eventually get broadly applied when the bigotry is disconnected.
