As pointed out by CinemaWins, log carrying trucks have metal bars on either side holding the logs, so this can’t actually happen.
Maybe they made trucks have those bars after seeing that movie.
You don’t think a company would disregard safety laws and use any random truck they might have to move the lumber for more profit?
Log truck at highway speed? Back in my day we all for horror was a stick donkey at walking speed! (and a lot of church propaganda)
