My Philips electric toothbrush finally died last night and I’m looking for a replacement.

I found a brand called vearthy that sells a bamboo electric toothbrush that is supposedly compatible with Philips heads, which is great because my partner still uses that one and we have a ton of compatible heads. However, I can’t really find any reliable reviews for it.

Has anyone ever purchased vearthy or have any other recommendations for a good electric toothbrush that’s Canadian, or at the very least not American? (Bonus if I can purchase it from somewhere that’s not one of the big grocers)

Thanks!

Edit: in case anyone runs into this post later. I ended up buying the vearthy toothbrush. It’s very lightweight and works well so far. Has multiple settings which I wasn’t expecting. I did not like the toothbrush heads it came with (they are very soft and a little small for my taste) but since its compatible with Philips I just swapped it for one of the other heads I had. Overall pretty good purchase I think.

I ran out of heads of my tooth brush, I saw the bamboo heads. I tried ordering them but something was wrong, don’t remember what exactly it just made me uncomfortable ordering them. I have no idea about the actual motor though.

I ended up getting a non electric one, I like minimizing my plastic use so I ended up getting one that has replaceable heads that you change every few months, I think they suggest 3 months but I am coming close to 6 now and the head is still firm and great. They are Canadian.

Do not get me wrong I miss my electric power but I am fine with a manual brush.

That’s fair enough, thanks for the note. I do feel bad using an electric toothbrush with the amount of waste it generates, but the difference it’s made with my teeth is huge.

While I was searching earlier I also found a Canadian company (Zerro) that sells heads for oral-b brushes, which they claim are recyclable through a recycling program they use, you just have to send them back to them. It’s not totally waste free but a little better.

I ended up ordering the bamboo toothbrush from vearthy since the reviews for their bed stuff seemed decent and the cost was alright. I’ll pop back here and let everyone know how it goes!
