The organization behind Steam’s latest payment processor censorship, Collective Shout, appears to tell some misleading tales.
The original was taken down (see below), archived version: https://archive.is/x5cGQ
Edit: As per Ana Valens, writer of the article, it was taken down by the current owners of Vice.com for transparently bogus reasons. The archived version is now the only one available.
Any evidence that the banned games are indeed “incest, pedo, rape, torture, extreme-violence-against-women type media”? I have yet to see it.
You can either check SteamDB (login with your steam account) or check steam-tracker for delisted games. You can see it is undeniable that an unholy amount of incest games were removed. There are still some rape games I am waiting to be removed. I’m judging by the title alone, but why the fuck was this ever approved? Also PlayMeow Games got a few of their rape games banned. This Google spreadsheet claims to be tracking what was removed. Hope this helps clear up your denial that this happened. Please note I am vehemently against these type of games and cannot be convinced otherwise.
Thank you. I wish this was explained in articles and that journalists did some independent investigation. It’s been years since I used Steam.
NP, glad I could help.
